Email Template Builder Software Discussions
Looking at data on the Email Template Builder category page, Beefree, ContactPigeon, and Brevo (Sendinblue) seem to be the top choices for users prioritizing drag-and-drop design and quick QA. See below for my top software list.
- Beefree: is a fast, drag-and-drop email builder for building responsive emails and exporting to almost any ESP in a few clicks—great for quick production and handoff.
- ContactPigeon: offers an intuitive visual editor and campaign workflow that make creating, testing, and sending emails straightforward for non-coders on retail-focused teams.
- Brevo: provides an approachable editor with ready-made templates and responsive design, helping small teams ship polished emails without heavy HTML work.
- Omnisend: features a modern editor geared to e-commerce with reusable blocks and quick test sends, so marketers can iterate designs and get to send faster.

What do you think? Based on your experiences, are there other options that I should consider? I want to know what the G2 community believes is the best option for users. Thanks!

Another thing to watch out for is dark mode and mobile responsiveness. A lot of tools claim responsive design, but actual behavior varies across devices. That’s where more advanced testing becomes important, especially for brands that care about design consistency.
Hi All,
Opening a discussion around top tools for creating responsive email templates, especially platforms that help teams ship mobile-friendly designs fast with reusable blocks and brand controls. Curious which solutions actually deliver a great experience for both creators and admins. (Pulled from G2’s Email Template Builder page.)
- Constant Contact – Mobile-responsive templates for quick production: Offers 200+ professionally designed, mobile-responsive templates—handy for non-designers who need on-brand layouts fast. Does it cover your edge cases (dark mode, Outlook) without custom code?
- ActiveCampaign – Visual designer with responsive templates: Drag-and-drop builder plus a central template library; widely used with responsive templates to standardize design across campaigns and automations. How well do roles/permissions support multi-team workflows
- Dotdigital – EasyEditor with responsive markup: EasyEditor’s templates include up-to-date HTML/CSS for responsiveness, with guidance and inbox testing for QA. Is the out-of-the-box responsiveness enough, or do you still hand-tune sections?
Would love feedback from teams using any of these platforms:
- Which tool gave the most consistent responsive rendering across clients?
- How was the implementation and time to value for your content team?
- Any unexpected wins (e.g., reusable blocks, approvals) or pain points (e.g., testing, dark-mode quirks)?

Hi All,
Opening a discussion around top tools for collaborative email template design, especially platforms that support shared libraries, reusable blocks, and smooth handoff across designers, marketers, and reviewers. Curious which solutions actually deliver a great experience for both creators and admins. (Pulled from G2’s Email Template Builder page.)
- Constant Contact – Team-friendly builder with reusable templates: Drag-and-drop editor, previews, and a library of saved templates make it easy for non-designers to collaborate on brand-consistent emails. Does it cover your review/approval needs without extra tools?
- ActiveCampaign – Shared templates with roles/permissions: Visual designer plus a central template library; admins can grant user access and control edits—useful for multi-user collaboration. How well do permissions scale across brands/regions?
- Dotdigital – Template library and EasyEditor for teams: Teams can create, save, and reuse templates in a shared library via EasyEditor, keeping layouts consistent while iterating quickly. Are its governance and versioning enough for larger teams?
- Brevo Marketing Platform – Accessible editor for shared workflows: Approachable drag-and-drop builder with ready-made templates and centralized campaign tooling—good for collaborative production on smaller teams. Has it reduced back-and-forth between designers and marketers?
Would love feedback from teams using any of these platforms:
- Which tool gave the most consistent team workflow (roles, approvals, comments)?
- How was the implementation and time to value for your content team?
- Any unexpected wins (e.g., reusable blocks) or pain points (e.g., version control)?

One thing I’d test is how the platform handles handoffs between design and marketing. Some tools are great for marketers editing existing templates, but less great when designers need tighter control over the system those templates live in.
