Autopsy, the open source digital forensics application.

It has all the core features you get in commercial forensic tools. It's a fast and efficient digital investigation application. It supports custom modules, many have been developed by the user community.

Such a Dark Name for a VERY BRIGHT software application!

I like how easy Autopsy is for a first time user. I"m currently learning Linux and Unix in my classroom so we use Autopsy and its been very easy for me to learn.
