**What do you like best about Autopsy?**

Forensics investigation is very easy with built-in functionalities and also provide better investigation facilities. Also this is open-source and easy to setup.

**What do you dislike about Autopsy?**

While Autopsy provides a great support for investigation, some features such as analysis must be improve more. But as a open-soure software this provides a support more than expected.

During forensics analysis, this provide a great platform to acquire digital evidence of the case. Such as registry, memory, email analysis.

**What do you like best about Autopsy?**

One of the most popular and effective forensic analyzing tools is called Autopsy. It has many impressive capabilities to perform forensic analysis, collect, and report evidence. Typically, autopsy supports windows-based forensic image analysis, though it can also be used for Linux analysis occasionally. Making forensic reports is simple using this application, and it is simple to discover suspicious material. For forensic investigation purposes, clean data can be quickly sorted, and any hidden audio or text messages from the images and other data can be discovered. It can analyze any data form.

**What do you dislike about Autopsy?**

It requires sufficient training and is not employed in every forensic investigation of cases, making it difficult to use. Despite just supporting Windows, it is a fantastic platform.

**What problems is Autopsy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When a machine (infected) is subject to malicious activity, we use the software to examine the actions by adding the evidence to an autopsy. Additionally, I use it to make hard disk data recovery. Awesome tool.

**What do you like best about Autopsy?**

The ease and usability of Autopsy make it a must-use forensics tool. The ability to view various disk partitions and inject additional modules makes it a great addition to any toolset.

**What do you dislike about Autopsy?**

The features of this free tool are numerous. The full features of EnCase come at a cost.

**What problems is Autopsy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autopsy is an excellent tool for my students and provides a great first look into forensics tools. My students and staff are more productive even when conducting exercises utilizing this tool.

**What do you like best about Autopsy?**

1)One of the best tools which can be used to investigate what when wrong with the computer.
2)The setup is too way easy & deployment.
3)Its easiness to use & is one of the best tools for Analysis like files, memory etc
4)It meets almost all the requirements

1)Sometimes is dam slow when we have to search or find some data with huge harddisk image.
2)Nothing much

It helps in finding what happens to the computer systems in the event of a crash or corruption or to investigate any fraud or data leakage etc. There are many others as well to list.

You can retrieve any data, including raw data, no matter how it's structured

It is very complex it need more technical when you do recover

**What do you like best about Autopsy?**

Since autopsy is a programme that is based on GUI, it is very efficient to analyde smartphones and hard drives. The architecture allows plugins to be integrated and used which makes it a very flexible tool.

**What do you dislike about Autopsy?**

There's no  room for improvement in my opinion. I like the tool very much and I enjoy using it. Only the prizing I'd a bit high for single users (not companies) so that would be nice to be a bit lower.

The tool helps if there is data lost, whatever amount I think. I used it to recover a lot of data when my Laptop suffered from physical damage. It worked very well

I like how the search user interface of this tool works and it does its job very effectively in a very quick manner without any loss of search criteria. Such a great tool for recovering the loss data on a computer be it even a phone. It works perfectly

There is nothing that I dislike in this tool. It works best. I just wish it was little affordable for individuals also

I have personally benefitted from it at my work when I lost very important data because of physical damage on my machine and this tool was very helpful in getting all that data back.

I used different digital forensics tools early in my career, but when I came across Autopsy, I found it very easy to use.

I don't find any points for which I would say I dislike Autopsy.

Usually, digital forensic tools are hard to work with. However, Autopsy has a user-friendly interface with a variety of modules.

**What do you like best about Autopsy?**

An autopsy is one of the most commonly used and powerful forensic analyzing tools it has so many cool features to run forensic analysis and gather the evidence and report the evidence, mostly autopsy support for windows-based image analysis, and sometimes it can be sued for Linux analysis as well, but it more supports for windows-based forensic image analysis. by using this tool, it is straightforward to identify suspicious evidence and easy to make forensic reports using this.

**What do you dislike about Autopsy?**

When using autopsy, i feel so slow when using in a laptop it uses higher ram and processing power and when creating a case and loading the image file on the case it feels slow, so if this can optimize it would be great.

This is one of the best tool for forensic investigations. I suggest this tool for all beginners and experts to use in your investigations.

This tool is the most effective one for analyzing the forensic image files and analyzing the data. This makes so easy to process, and it has reporting features of differentiating the files so that it would be easy for investigation

**What do you like best about Autopsy?**

We can easily sort clean data for forensic investigation purpose, we can find any hidden message and audio clips from the pictures and other data. Any data form analysis can be done in it.

**What do you dislike about Autopsy?**

It is not easy to use as proper training is required, also it is not used in all the forensic investigation of the cases. Depend upon project to project.

If you want to perform forensic computer investigation then must use this for the cases.

I have used this software to find a hidden message from the data, and it was stored in the picture in the form of audio clip, also we can decrypt the password easily in this.

**What do you like best about Autopsy?**

easily extract web cookies and search histories for different browsers such as  firefox, and chrome and also allows recovery of deleted files which very helpful. Userfriendly interface and easy installation steps.

**What do you dislike about Autopsy?**

File recovery could be better. It is not able to recover files if the harddrive is over written with new data. In comparison to other data recovery tools, this feature is missing.

Learning digital forensics and especially I perform data recovery on my hard-drive. Also I use to it to extract web history from my computer's browsing data. Great Tool.

It is very helpful in digital forensics, as we can easily find the evidences in it to solve digital crime cases.

The only drawback i feel is that it has limited features for audio tracing.when i worked on a case i was unable to find tools to trace audio clips in this software.

If you want to grow your career in the field of digital forensics and you must learn this software as it will be very helpful in solving cases and make you work easier.

Using the free edition, we have no access to the support, but good information and tutorial are accessible online

If the budget is limited, I suggest considering this software to perform forensic activities, moreover it is now available for more operating systems

We use the solution when a malicious activity is detected over a machine (infected), we insert the evidence into autopsy and analyze the activities.

It has all the core features you get in commercial forensic tools.
It's a fast and efficient digital investigation application.
It supports custom modules, many have been developed by the user community.

**What do you dislike about Autopsy?**

It is a great platform, however, it only runs on Windows.

**What problems is Autopsy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not in law enforcement like most users. I actually use it as a post mortem tool when/if there is a breach or suspected incident with our systems.

**What do you like best about Autopsy?**

I like how easy Autopsy is for a first time user. I"m currently learning Linux and Unix in my classroom so we use Autopsy and its been very easy for me to learn.

**What do you dislike about Autopsy?**

It can also be complicated to learn at the same time.  There is a lot of complex details within the program and some of the words are so scientific that it's hard to decipher the understanding if you have never used the program before.

**Recommendations to others considering Autopsy:**

I think this is a great forensic program if you are looking to recover data on an old pc.

**What problems is Autopsy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I"m solving criminal cases and things related to a crime. I am dealing with ways to find hidden data or old data, files, pictures and such that might be hard to find. Sometimes this stuff is important because the victim can no longer speak for himself amd all we have left is just their computer. A computer can tell us everything.
