Landara: COGS & Landed Cost
Landara is cost accounting software for Shopify merchants. Shopify tracks how much stock you have, not what any of it cost, so that number ends up in a spreadsheet the store has never seen.
Landara holds the cost side. Every receipt of stock becomes a dated FIFO cost layer, and every order draws down the oldest layer first, so COGS is built from what those units actually cost rather than from an average. Moving average is available as an alternative basis.
If you import, upload the supplier invoice, freight bill and customs entry. AI extracts the figures and allocates them across the shipment, so freight and duty sit inside the unit cost before the layer forms. Customs duty is capitalised. Recoverable import tax is not, because it is reclaimable.
At month end Landara produces a ready-to-post journal, Dr COGS and Cr Inventory, for Xero or QuickBooks Online, plus CSV. You review and post it: Landara never writes to your ledger. Shopify keeps owning quantity, so there is no migration.
