Exotool is a platform on which you design an app as a diagram and get a complete progressive web app: the screens, the server side, the APIs between them and the database. The diagram is the app: its screens, how they connect, the data it stores, and the activities behind its elements, written in a small language. A patented engine (US Patent 12,461,721) decides which statements run on the device and which on the server, generates both sides, and generates the APIs between them, the same way every time. Two things follow from that. The generated source is yours: while you build, the app runs in Exotool's sandbox with a preview address you can share; to ship, you deploy the source on a host of your choice with your own database, with no runtime to license and no platform to leave the app behind on. And the database is reached only from the generated server side: the browser never holds a database key, so there is no per-row access rule to forget, the omission behind most data leaks from apps that talk to their database from the browser. Exotool is also a Claude connector, listed in the Claude connector directory. Connect it, describe the app you want in plain words, and Claude builds a first version you can open on your phone within minutes. Claude does not write the code: it edits the diagram, and the engine builds the app, so what was built can be read in the diagram, in the editor, rather than in thousands of generated lines. Every save is backed up first, and Claude can undo its last change. Nothing is metered on Exotool's side. For experienced developers, the language takes explicit JavaScript and PHP wherever they want it, so they write the parts that need their hand and let Exotool generate and knit together the rest of the stack. One visual debugger follows a step from the device to the server and back in one session. The result is a progressive web app that installs from the browser on iOS and Android alike. Native iOS apps are in beta. Exotool starts free, with one app, the editor, the preview and the Claude connector; paid plans are $19 and $49 a month per builder, with no charge per user of the app.
