Is Zappi free, or does it offer a free trial?

Who is Zappi pricing best suited for?

Zappi's pricing is best suited for enterprise and mid-market teams running high-volume, repeatable consumer research. The majority of G2 reviewers come from enterprise organizations across consumer goods, retail, food and beverage, telecommunications, and market research — industries with ongoing needs for concept testing, ad pre-testing, and creative diagnostics at scale. G2 reviewers in these segments value Zappi's templated, self-serve model for democratizing research across global teams. Small-business and boutique market research firms also appear among G2 reviewers, citing cost-effective rapid turnaround for clients with tight budgets, though they note limited customization as a constraint for complex or highly bespoke project requirements.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Zappi?

Zappi does not offer a permanent free tier. According to G2's pricing data for Zappi, a free trial is available for teams evaluating Zappi's capabilities before committing to a paid plan. Zappi's paid plans operate on custom enterprise quotes, meaning pricing scales with usage, markets, and test volume rather than fixed tiers. G2 reviewers on paid plans access self-serve concept testing, ad pre-testing, creative diagnostics, global audience targeting, automated reporting, and benchmark norms. The free trial functions as a time-limited evaluation window for these capabilities, allowing teams to assess fit before negotiating a custom commercial agreement.

Is Zappi considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers broadly rate Zappi at 4.5–5.0/5, signaling strong satisfaction relative to cost. Pricing-specific feedback is mixed but leans positive: one G2 reviewer notes it can be pricey but affirms you get what you pay for, while another calls Zappi cost-effective for rapid concept testing, and a mid-market restaurant reviewer reports significantly reduced testing costs. Enterprise G2 users highlight value through speed, global scalability, and standardized templates that cut setup time. The main value caveat is limited customization — G2 reviewers note the standardized methodology trades flexibility for speed, which suits high-volume iterative testing but may frustrate teams needing bespoke research designs.

"Quick, Intuitive, and Value for Ad Testing"

What do you dislike about Zappi?

The AI reporting tool is a bit basic and doesn't consider the stim that is being tested - it works off the metrics only from what I can see. The exporting of content can be a bit clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Insights but Lacks Benchmark Clarity"
3/5
What do you like best about Zappi?

I use Zappi for innovation concept research and 360 promotion pricing. I like the speed of service, especially the 24-48 hour turnaround for testing. The initial setup was very easy, which is great coming from an innovation background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zappi?

I find the clarity needed on how benchmarks are derived a bit lacking. I need to understand who is in the competitive benchmark set and the profiles of consumers being surveyed. Additionally, it's important how the quality of responses is vetted, as some consumers may just tick yes or no. The norms are not clear, which affects my overall satisfaction with the service. Response from Elsie Madeira of Zappi

Thank you for the detailed feedback, and it's great to hear the 24-48 hour turnaround and easy setup have been helpful for your innovation and pricing work.

Your point on benchmark transparency is fair. A few things that may help. Zappi offers multiple norm types, including Curated Norms (reviewed annually to reflect the real market) and Organic Norms (built from platform-wide and your own historical data). You can see which norm is applied to any report by hovering over the norm heading, along with the number of assets it includes.

On respondent quality, we source only from ESOMAR and ISO 20252 certified panels. Every survey runs through automated checks like bot detection, speeder analysis, and gibberish or AI-generated response detection, plus our Zappi Quality Score, which evaluates each respondent across 14 signals. In higher-risk markets, we add manual review on top of that.

We'd love to walk you through how norms and audience quality are set up for your specific studies. Feel free to reach out to your customer success contact or our support team.

Thanks again for sharing this.
