**Describe the project or task Yandex.Direct helped with:**

We are an independent software vendor, so we are using Yandex.Direct to advertise our self-hosted software within Russia, as well as our SAAS services. We needed to make retargeting campaign to give more attention to our current leads and to make a "new leads" campaign to attract new companies. Our services are mostly targeted to the Russian market and some ex-USSR markets, in which most people speak Russian, so we make a decision to consider Yandex.Direct as the main advertising network for these campaigns.

**What do you like best about Yandex.Direct?**

Yandex.Direct has a powerful retargeting/remarketing engine. It has some cool features like Yandex.Direct Commander (its' standalone tool for mass ad creation or editing), stable mobile app for iOS, API for segments and metrics, automatic bid management system. Interaction with advertising network managers is good and billing is fast, so we can react fast to market events or changes in the market situation.

**What do you dislike about Yandex.Direct?**

Ad moderation politics are not as clean as with Google AdWords. Not many international users will view your ads; budget management is poor; campaign management should be better realized. Our managers say that they will be improving campaign management this year.

You should consult your manager if you need to pay VAT for your account bills, or not

**What problems is Yandex.Direct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yandex.Direct helps us attract more leads onto our website, so our income from our self-hosted software and SAAS services is growing. We are getting a more productive ad creation system and saving our time. Retargeting feature with segments API gives our leads more attention, so conversion is more significant now.

**What do you like best about Yandex.Direct?**

Technical support responds quickly, you can work postpaid for several weeks. Many different settings. The service is constantly improving.

**What do you dislike about Yandex.Direct?**

A very confusing interface, a lot of different menu tabs, which makes it difficult to do something quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering Yandex.Direct:**

Take a training course on Yandex.Direct, because the service interface is difficult.

**What problems is Yandex.Direct solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attracting customers, reminding customers about yourself through remarketing.
