What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With VSP’s procurement transformation initiative, eSourcing adoption increased significantly. Today, nearly 90 percent of all RFx’s are run through the Scout RFP platform, leading to increased transparency, adherence to the sourcing process, and improved business outcomes. The platform adoption also allowed for better visibility into projects in the pipeline, increased adoption by the VSP employee base in terms of engaging both the sourcing and procurement operations teams for project requests and questions, and better customer engagement using the collaboration feature for the RFx and Intake tools. Lastly, the transformation provided improved tracking and reporting of cost savings negotiated by the sourcing team, leading to greater visibility around sourcing project success and improved stakeholder buy-in. What do you like best?

The ease of use is a big reason we love Scout so much. It makes my team's lives so much easier and the customization is huge. Another big perk is the customer service on the back end. If I ever have a question, they're super responsive and helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Some trivial things like email notification customization, files automatically download when you want to view them and having to search for an agreement via the supplier page vs just typing it into the contract search bar. Over all these are just small things I would love to see changed and luckily the Scout team is innovating every day to help user functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The pipeline planning functionality is amazing. This provides you with dashboard capability to manage, and forecast sourcing projects effectively. Additionally, I the RFP tool is very easy to use and our team has established standard RFP templates by RFx type. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Need more built-in graphical and "drillable' graphical dashboards. This would support our users ability to not leave Scout for other reporting. Would like to see additional auction capabilities - i.e., Dutch, Japanese, forward, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Easy to use for Category Managers. Easy to use for stakeholders. Easy to use for suppliers. Simple User Interface that maintains 95% of what you need from any e-sourcing tool. ScoutRFP also makes meaningful updates on a regular basis. Most other providers use updates to just patch broken code, where ScoutRFP actually makes improvements and adds functionality. What do you dislike?

Some minor wishlist items are: Expressive Bidding/ Expressive Feedback where we can let the supplier know that they aren't bidding competitively before the completion of an event through an automated color coding paradigm. Quick Implementation. Amazing support from ScoutRFP. Quick RFP turnarounds. Zero supplier pushback on using the tool, as we've seen with other more complicated tools that need 15 clicks to get to anything. Scout is a 1 or two click UI set up to get anywhere. What do you like best?

-The customer service and ease of use.

- There isn't a huge learning curve to the product, and if you have questions the team is always available for assistance.

-Scout listens to their customers, and actually put the feedback of the customers into the tool.

- We had a Sourcing Manager leave our company abruptly, and because everything is in Scout there was a clear trail of their work. It allowed the transfer of work to happen seamlessly and with little interruption to the internal clients and suppliers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

-The PDF view was taken away for the RFP, and the excel view does not allow for all of the information to be seen in a very easy format. The PDF view was much better for an audit trail too when if you need to store documentation.

-Less prescriptive RFP's (when you are asking for a high level services proposal, and don't have a clear list of questions because you are seeking information from the supplier) can be a challenge to enter at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
