# Which shopping cart platforms integrate with the most existing systems so an ecommerce team does not have to rebuild its entire tech stack when switching?

Salesforce B2C Commerce is the other strong option if you&#39;re already in that ecosystem.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Carrying forward orders whose tax treatment has to stay exactly as filed is migration work rather than integration work, and it tends to surface late.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The one that always looks easy and never is: tax. Every platform has a tax connector and every demo shows it working, because a demo uses one country, one warehouse and one product type. Real catalogues have items taxed differently by category, a nexus footprint that changed when you opened a second warehouse, and historical orders whose tax treatment has to stay exactly as filed for audit purposes. That last part is what makes it a migration problem rather than an integration problem, since you&#39;re not just connecting the system, you&#39;re carrying forward decisions it didn&#39;t make. Worth mapping before anything else, because unlike the CRM or ERP connection, getting it wrong has a filing consequence.&lt;/p&gt;

The thing nobody really talks about is the difference between a platform having an integration listed versus that integration actually working smoothly day to day. Salesforce and Adobe Commerce both look impressive on paper but I&#39;ve heard more than a few stories about integrations that needed a developer to babysit them after launch. Has anyone found one that&#39;s actually low-maintenance post-migration?
