As both an agency and a volunteer, Volunteer Base is easy to use for both sides. Posting as a host is simple, and allows you to offer accommodations to your volunteers (such as sleeping arrangements or refreshments on site). As a volunteer, it is simple to search for volunteer opportunities that fit your interests. Easy to create an account, and to update your details as necessary. You have a minimum word limit on your description, which makes it less likely that someone does not give enough information about a project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are not frequently volunteers in our area, as they tend to stick to larger metropolitan areas. Listing is very simple, contacting volunteers for arrangements is easy, but the volunteers in our area do not know of Volunteer Base. It is difficult to narrow down locations for volunteer opportunities, and most locations only go to a country - not city or state. If you are willing to drive to another area to volunteer, it is impossible to find a "near me" section. If this were implemented, more volunteers would be willing to use Volunteer Base. My agency will not be continuing to use this product, as it is not filtering down enough for a frustration-free experience for our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
