It's easy to access and set up. You also get immediate feedback as soon as someone signs up. **What do you dislike about SignUpGenius?** I can't really come up with anything I dislike. **What problems is SignUpGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?** I need parent volunteers to help out at school events. I can create the time slots I need, and how many people I need for each slot, and send out the link through parent groups, school emails, etc. From there it can be shared with other groups. It doesn't take long before I have people signing up. If there are still slots open as the event approaches, I can simply resend the link. There's nothing more I need to do. ### 3. Allows someone to RSVP No, but still sign up for category, leading to wrong counts. **What problems is SignUpGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?** How many people will be at an event, and what instrument. This allows us to quickly review what instrumentation is available so we can choose what music for the set list. ### 4. Parent conferences, party invitations, party sign up for people to bring things, pot luck and many more. **What do you dislike about SignUpGenius?** The only part I dislike is having adds on the page with the free sign-up. **What problems is SignUpGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sign-Up Genius is solving the problem of keeping track of who signs up for what. It organizes the information and pushes the information out to clients or customers. ### 5. The set-up is easy. It's free! You can customize the fields to collect just about any data you can think of. You have the option of adding your own image or using one of their's. I have used this service many times over the years for various things - both personal and work-related. **What do you dislike about SignUpGenius?** There isn't much to dislike. The service is free because they show ads beside the signup. It would be nice if you could chose the type of ads it displayed, to be sure it wasn't for something that was inappropriate for your business. **What problems is SignUpGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?** You can have people sign up for various time slots or various items. You can have it send them reminders before the event for what they signed up for. You can send a email to everyone who has signed up to give them additional details. ### 6. Also, we liked that registrants could alter their registrations without our input. **What do you dislike about SignUpGenius?** Least helpful was paying for the subscription. Other than the payment, we accomplished our mission with SignUpGenius. **What problems is SignUpGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?** SignUpGenius allowed us to collect registrants' information, including badge status which helped us expedite their entry onto campus. ### 7. We were unable to set booking cutoffs as needed. (for same day booking) Also had to run reports instead of seeing an on-screen display of bookings. **What problems is SignUpGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?** Booking worked fine and would be great for "days before booking" but not ideal for integrating with real-time POS behind a counter. A few simple changes (likely only requiring minor back-end coding) could have alleviated this. I suggested these options for about a year but the only updates we saw (to an IMO aging platform) were new templates. In the end, we had to "jump ship." We still have a paid account (hoping for upgrades after all the setup) but not using now. (using SimplyBook.me) ### 8. All my non-profits are small, local, and 100% Volunteer Driven. I am donating the cost to use Signup Genius. My volunteers find it difficult to use. It requires multiple screens to complete a signup. If they don't scroll down and CLICK on next screen after signing up they are not signed up, but think they are. **What problems is SignUpGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?** Enabling easy signup by and management of volunteers for events in Colonial Beach. ### 9. Great for Organizing Events **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Diana P. | Supervisor, Informatics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021 **What do you like best about SignUpGenius?** The ability to customize the sign-ups for what I need is very simple with Signup Genius. *It allows me to add several items and a quantity (such as a number of items or number of people needed). *It can be setup for different days and times. *Email reminders can be setup to send prior to the event. *Subscribers have very useful reports availale to run on the signups so that it's easier to see the information. *I have always find useable templates for events. **What do you dislike about SignUpGenius?** If you want an ultra-professional, polished template, this might not be the item you need. It has a certain charm that is useful for my needs as my audience is parent-based. **What problems is SignUpGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to easily inform our volunteer about event needs. It is very user friendly and allows users to see what's available and who has signed up for the items (important if working with volunteers as they tend to pick people they're familiar with or enjoy being around). ### 10. I was introduced to the site because one of my graduate professors uses it to schedule our in-class presentations. We were able to sign up using a link provided on Canvas. **What do you dislike about SignUpGenius?** I don't particularly appreciate that individuals can sign up for slots without having an account. If users do not have an account, signing up and editing their booked appointments is more complicated. When sent a link to sign up for a time slot, users should be prompted to sign up for an account before signing up for a time slot, so that they will see how to manage their appointment. **Recommendations to others considering SignUpGenius:** As a user, sign up for an account before signing up for time slots. With an account, you will be able to manage sign-ups better. With an account, all of your sign-ups will be shown on one calendar to support better organization. **What problems is SignUpGenius solving and how is that benefiting you?** We all have different schedules in our class, and instead of talking about times that work best for each of us to present or having presentations randomly assigned, this helps manage the assignment dates better.
