"Convenient Reception Coverage Anywhere With the Mobile App"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Virtual Front Desk?

I like the convenience of having this available so visitors can reach Reception when no one is there. I also really like having the app on my work phone, because it lets me answer calls when I’m away instead of having to run to the front from wherever I am in the office. Even when the office is closed, visitors are still able to contact someone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virtual Front Desk?

The thing I dislike most is when it goes offline. When that happens, it forces someone to stay at Reception all the time. One time we had a big group of team members from other offices come in for a meeting. They arrived early, and because the system was offline, they weren’t able to contact anyone to let them into the office. They ended up sitting in the elevator bay for 45 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jeff Letendre of Virtual Front Desk

Thanks for letting us know what’s working well and where we fell short. We’re pleased the mobile app gives you flexibility and helps streamline visitor arrivals. We sincerely apologize for the offline incident and the long wait your guests experienced. We are working on the notification where an email will be sent if a station ever goes offline. This will be especially helpful if you're not working directly in the dashboard, where we can see whether stations are offline.

"Virtual Front Desk Streamlines Check-Ins with a Polished, Branded Visitor Experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Virtual Front Desk?

What I like best is how much of the front-desk workflow we can handle from one system. In our agency office, visitors can check in, reach the right colleague, and get help without someone needing to sit at reception all day.

We’re a boutique agency, so keeping operations lean is really important for us. Having a dedicated receptionist would be unnecessary for our size, but we still want clients and visitors to have a professional, well-managed arrival experience. Virtual Front Desk gives us that balance; it helps us stay efficient without compromising the way our office feels to guests.

I also like that the station can do more than just sign people in. We can use custom actions, QR-based flows, document handling, and branded screens, which makes the experience feel much more polished for clients visiting the office. The interface is straightforward, and once everything is set up, it becomes part of the office rather than something the team has to constantly manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virtual Front Desk?

There isn’t anything our team specifically dislikes about Virtual Front Desk. If anything, the only challenge at first is that there are quite a few options and settings to choose from, so it can feel a little overwhelming when deciding how you want your front-desk experience to work. At the same time, that flexibility is also one of the product’s strengths, because you can tailor the setup quite closely to your office and visitor needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jeff Letendre of Virtual Front Desk

We're pleased to hear that Virtual Front Desk has helped guide your clients and guests to the right location within your office estate, saving your team from having to personally escort them. Additionally, it's great to know that the system has contributed to a smoother check-in process for client meetings and events, ultimately enhancing the professional experience for your visitors without adding extra operational burden.

"Reliable Lobby Receptionist with Call and Text Notifications"
5/5
What do you like best about Virtual Front Desk?

The front desk can call my cell phone and send me a text when someone prompts the receptionist. I can also set it up so that two of us receive the call, so I’m not the only person who gets notified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virtual Front Desk?

I have had no issues, no downsides so far. We use it solely as a lobby receptionist with no check in process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jeff Letendre of Virtual Front Desk

It’s great to hear Virtual Front Desk is working well as your lobby receptionist and that you’ve had no downsides so far. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review!

"User-friendly and seamlessly integrated with Teams"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Virtual Front Desk?

I really appreciate the user-friendliness of Virtual Front Desk. The developers are also open to requests and try to implement them, which I greatly value. Additionally, I find the integration with Teams extremely convenient, especially because I receive a notification in Teams when someone checks in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virtual Front Desk?

The only thing I can think of now is to link a Teams account to a station. It would be nice if that worked. The only downside is that when a screen goes into standby, it is not reachable for calls. But I have no idea if this is due to Neat or Virtual Front Desk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Olivier Gagnon of Virtual Front Desk

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad Virtual Front Desk is easy to use, works seamlessly with Teams, and helps keep your reception available 24/7. We also appreciate your suggestion about linking a Teams account to a station. We’ll share it with our team, and we’d be happy to help investigate the standby issue to determine whether it’s related to Neat or Virtual Front Desk.

"Affordable Virtual Front Desk That Simplifies Reception and Visitor Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Virtual Front Desk?

Virtual Front Desk is a relatively affordable option for managing basic reception and visitor-related tasks, without needing someone to be physically stationed at the front desk at all times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virtual Front Desk?

This isn’t a fault of VFD; it’s more about the visitor experience. For first-time visitors, it can take a bit of adjustment not having a person there when they arrive. Overall, we’ve received good comments about VFD. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jeff Letendre of Virtual Front Desk

Thank you, Lisa, for taking the time to share your experience with Virtual Front Desk! We really appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that VFD has been a good fit for your reception and visitor management needs.

We also completely understand the adjustment some first-time visitors may experience when arriving at a virtual reception. Our upcoming AI Agent will help address exactly that by proactively greeting every visitor and guiding them through the experience from the moment they arrive.

Thanks again for your trust and feedback!

"Transformed Our Reception Efficiency and Savings"
5/5
What do you like best about Virtual Front Desk?

I really like the excellent customer service that Virtual Front Desk provides. They continuously work on building useful new features and genuinely listen to their customers to make the most useful improvements. What stands out to me is how well it manages groups within my organization. The stations allow for group routing, which means each button reaches a specific group of users, eliminating the need for a receptionist to call around for an available person. Instead, Virtual Front Desk finds the next pertinent available person quickly. It saves us a lot of time and money on receptionist salaries while efficiently managing our operations. Plus, I appreciate the integration with Slack, which provides great notifications in my Slack channels. The setup process was super easy and quick, thanks to the fantastic support from their customer success manager. Everything was up and running in under 15 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virtual Front Desk?

There is not much I dislike about Virtual Front Desk. They just did a full revamp of the UI and it is the easiest app to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jeff Letendre of Virtual Front Desk

We're thrilled Virtual Front Desk is making visitor management easier for your organization. It's great to hear that group routing gets visitors to the right available person quickly, and that Slack integration and our updated UI are working well for your team. Thanks for your support!

"Effortless Visitor Management and Seamless Communication"
5/5
What do you like best about Virtual Front Desk?

I find Virtual Front Desk easy to use and set up, which makes it really convenient. I like how visitors can communicate directly with their team member without needing someone else to be the middle person. It's great that the system allows for this direct communication, enhancing our efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virtual Front Desk?

I would like some more information on documentation and having safety documents to be able to sign by contractors, and I would also like to be able to print temporary badges. So, attaching a printer to the Virtual Front Desk would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jeff Letendre of Virtual Front Desk

Hi Eloise, thank you for the review; we appreciate it. Glad the direct connection between visitors and your team is cutting out the middle step.

Good news for your wish list: all of it is already available. Safety documents can be added to the sign-in form for contractors to read and sign, with the signed copy stored in the visit record, and the documents can also be displayed on the station screen. Temporary badge printing is supported too, with a compatible label printer connected to the station. You're right that this should be easier to discover, and we're actively expanding our documentation. In the meantime, reach out, and we'll walk you through turning it all on.

Thanks again for taking the time to review us.

"Simplicity and Remote Flexibility at a Good Cost"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Virtual Front Desk?

I really like the Virtual Front Desk because it offers simplicity and an affordable cost, working well 100% of the time. The ability to serve people remotely is something I really appreciate because I don't need to be available in the office all the time and can communicate quickly from anywhere, whether at home or if I'm out of the office. This is especially valuable for my small business. Additionally, the setup process was very smooth and quick, taking only 30 seconds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virtual Front Desk?

I think there could be more options for working with other tools and devices. Something that could improve is integration, perhaps giving notifications via WhatsApp when someone is at the door, which would provide more flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jeff Letendre of Virtual Front Desk

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad Virtual Front Desk is simple, reliable, and affordable, and that it helps you serve visitors from anywhere. And great news: the WhatsApp app integration is already available. You can set it up in your settings / integrations in the dashboard. Please contact us if you need help. We'll be very happy to set this up for you.

"Exceptional Support and Seamless Security"
5/5

The support team is awesome, always active and willing to help with any questions or concerns. I love the fast responses and quick solutions they provide. It connects to a printer great and is always updated. The initial setup was super quick besides setting up the printer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A professional look that is easy to customize and use!"
5/5
What do you like best about Virtual Front Desk?

Ease of set up and use. Professional look Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virtual Front Desk?

Cost for adding departments and additional agents. Dont use with other tech yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jeff Letendre of Virtual Front Desk

Thank you, Craig, for the review. We appreciate it, and we're glad the setup went quickly and the look works well in your lobby.

Regarding the cost of adding groups and users: Professional includes 5 users, and additional users and groups are billed individually. Enterprise is a flat rate per station with unlimited users, groups, and video calls, so past a certain point it costs less than adding one at a time. I had a look at your account and your current usage; Professional is still the better value, but we're glad to run that comparison with you any time you want to revisit it.

On using it alongside your other tech, that's worth a look when you have a moment. Virtual Front Desk connects with Microsoft Teams, Slack, and WhatsApp so calls reach your team where they already work. Reach out and we'll help you get it set up.

Thanks again for taking the time to review us.
