The best part is that there is no uploading or downloading of large mp4 files, which then need to be sent or attached. Sharing out a hyperlink of your video is a gamechanger when it comes to speed and ease of sharing videos! **What do you dislike about Vidyard?** There's not a lot I don't like about Vidyard! **What problems is Vidyard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vidyard has eliminated the need to write lengthy, detailed, step by step instructions when trying to assist customers with their questions and challenges. Being able to share out the UI and click through/talk through how to do something not only saves a ton of time and makes my team more efficient, it is also a more effective way of communicating with customers and explaining how to do things. Our customers are blown away by our vidyards and always very appreciative of this unique way of responding to their questions. ### 2. Ease of use is extremely important and vidyard isn't at all complicated to use. I mean, it's no tiktok. But it's ok. I also like gift cards. But the best thing about it is it allows me to create presentations and email them to prospective customers when meeting physically is a challenge. Creating reports with detailed photographs and charts explaining the process and solution to the customer was simple and gave me a unique tool that no one else was using. The customer was also appreciative that they could review the presentation with no pressure and as many times as they wanted so that their feedback was based on being fully informed. **What do you dislike about Vidyard?** I suppose if I had to pick one thing it'd be the layout? Maybe some added features and sound effects might be cool. Or background tracks. Lightning would be cool. Like, some added lightning effects or fire. You know tiktok? Kind of like that. Everyone loves tiktok. Remember vine? Those were fun, huh? But yeah, if you could try to get some tiktok type features on this I'd think this app would really go places you know? But I'm sure you'll do fine. There isn't really anything to dislike about the app itself. It's more being comfortable enough to prepare a video. **Recommendations to others considering Vidyard:** Use this as a tool during covid related (or any apocalyptic global pandemic) shut downs to introduce yourself or your company to prospective clients through video presentations. Your competition is not doing this. **What problems is Vidyard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communicating a visual representation of what services we can offer to them using images taken straight from their site. Walking them through scenarios using familiar landscape is a huge advantage when trying to provide them with the right solution. During the pandemic the tools vidyard provides allowed me to close several projects while my competition was shut down. It allows customers to view presentations uninterrupted and I feel they give more attention to the video versus a physical audience. It allows them to gather their questions and give feedback as a better informed buyer. ### 3. They have great cross-functional capabilities that have allowed us to expand our usage. Vidyard also has a great and easy-to-use interface that anyone can pick up relatively quickly. The in-depth analytics that allow us to measure the impact video is driving across all platforms helps to showcase the impact video is making across the organization. The best part about Vidyard though has been their customer support team. They are top-notch and they truly as an extension of our team. They always go above and beyond to support us when we need it most, most recently at our first virtual conference, Oktane. I cannot imagine a better team to partner with. **What do you dislike about Vidyard?** I didn't like the "player" and "video" function, but they just got rid of this! Once again, they are great at listening to customers to incorporate their needs into their roadmap. **Recommendations to others considering Vidyard:** Do it! **What problems is Vidyard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Video hosting and analytics is seamless and easy. We can see total views across different categories to see which areas are performing best. We can now see the impact that video is driving within Marketo and Salesforce. This allows our sales team to see who watched which video, for how long, etc. so that they can understand upsell and cross-sell opportunities. We can embed video easily throughout our site in a way that is seamless for content and web marketing and development teams. We can easily edit videos, trimming them and selecting compelling cover art to drive engagement. Being able to download SRT files that we can upload to other platforms like YouTube for improved viewing has made a huge difference and saved us money with transcription services. Social sharing is also easy within Vidyard for broader teams. ### 4. A lot of the connections that I've made during COVID have started off on a virtual level, so this makes me feel like I know them a lot better, which facilitates a relationship of trust and open communication. The transcript functionality is the best AI transcription I've ever experienced (if your speakers speak loudly and clearly). Our support team is awesome and they are invested in our success. They constantly offer advice and helpful tips so we can meet our lead goals. The content Vidyard puts out is extremely detailed and helpful, and often provides a blueprint for creating engaging blog posts and video content. **What do you dislike about Vidyard?** The player/video interface is a little confusing on the back end. I always forget which functionality lives in the video function or the player function. It allows me to manage video assets across multiple platforms, including our website and social media pages. Additionally, the different links based on where you want to share is helpful. This provides the best possible user experience, based on whether they are viewing the video on a social page, such as LinkedIn or Facebook, or perhaps on your website, or within an email. Also, the event, or CTA, that can be embedded in the video, allows for the videos to be utilized within drip campaigns or nurture programs, and the events can be tailored to where the video is utilized within a buyer journey. **What do you dislike about Vidyard?** I would like to be able to add the the same event to a single video at multiple time stamps. Although the ability to add CTA's to the videos is incredibly helpful, it would be even better if I could add these events throughout the video so that a viewer doesn't need to watch the entire video to access a CTA. Still, you can put different events thoughout a video, which allows users to align specific CTA's at strategic time stamps within the video. We used to have problems with the player vs video concept, but that has recently been improved the in the Vidyard experience. I like that Vidyard manages versioning across all video platforms. The other issue that we run up against from time to time is the ability to organize videos. Vidyard has a foldering structure, which does allow for some organization. However, with many users, such as what we have at my organization, the foldering can become somewhat challenging. **What problems is Vidyard solving and how is that benefiting you?** The major problem that we have been able to solve with Vidyard is how we improve our video utilization within Marketing campaigns. Vidyard gives us the ability to surface video content across all of our different platforms, and it integrates well with our marketing automation tools. We are now better suited to deliver video content across multiple platforms, and we have the ability to add more personalization, within engaging content. ### 7. Are you pushing to a BOFU offer, a trial of some sort...or is the video more top of the funnel and you are pushing them to an asset to move them further down the funnel and enabling them to engage with other content. It has a limited subset of features for the sake of ease and convenience. It only integrates with the native mail app on the iPhone and won't give you options to utilize alternative or at least enterprise email accounts. The sheer insanity of not having that built out after all this time is just crazy. **Recommendations to others considering Vidyard:** Demand feedback to critical infrastructure items and don't be quiet about it. Vidyard moves at the speed of nothing. So be prepared to draw zero responses to criticism or feedback. Because we are working remotely, Vidyard has been able to assist our training team in assigning SME's (that live and work in other states) to record training videos. The SME's are able to move their videos to a folder in Vidyard for me to download it where I can go and edit the video using a third party tool. This process has gone pretty seamless as we have been using Vidyard to record videos since January 2020. **What do you dislike about Vidyard?** I do not like that error messages may appear when someone finishes recording a video. There should be a clearer way to let the user know that the video is being embedded prior to the person trying to move the video to another folder. **Recommendations to others considering Vidyard:** If you are looking for an easy to use cloud based recording device, Vidyard is the way to go! **What problems is Vidyard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our training team is able to record processing financial documents through our training video. We would've liked to have used the Vidyard hub, but we had a tough time working with the technical team at our company to get this access set up. We instead host the videos on our LMS or external portal. Vidyard has a great cloud based system that can be accessed via Google Chrome. I find that more departments are coming to our training team to ask for access to Vidyard since legal issues have prevented teams from recording over Zoom. ### 33. When prospecting I especially like using Vidyard because I get a "read receipt" when someone views my video, helping me identify the warmest leads that I should focus on. **What do you dislike about Vidyard?** I wish that the Calendly feature or something similar was natively integrated so that it was easier to have a call to action at the end of your video. It was very difficult setting that piece up and mine has never quite worked correctly. I also think the google chrome extension is very easy to use, but the website itself is much less intuitive. When you can't visit customers on site it allows me to still have show my personality and make the touch feel warmer and more personable. Also helps me solve the problem of not knowing if my email is getting to someone. For example, some companies have filters that flag external emails making it difficult to know if my emails are actually getting to someone's inbox. But with the notification when someone views my video it makes it even easier to tell if someone has gotten my email. ### 36. When COVID first hit we had a huge influx of customers wanting to know how to sign up for online banking, I was able to create a "how-to" video in less than an hour and deploy same day to alleviate the call-center and digital banking teams having to answer the same questions over and over. It helps me align with our web team to make sure that YouTube and web content are always consistent. **What do you dislike about Vidyard?** The player/video distinction has always been very confusing and I'm glad it's going away with the new version. The detailed reports are also unhelpful for the more broad strokes insights that I need, so I often have to make sure to check the Insights tab at the end of the quarter to get my metrics there. Ideally I could just customize the date in the Insights section, and also see things like top vides by retention rate, etc. **Recommendations to others considering Vidyard:** Definitely great for integrating with YouTube! **What problems is Vidyard solving and how is that benefiting you?** Alignment between content and web teams, and making sure that our videos are always synced, relevant, and updated. ### 44. Functions/features are not intuitive. Nesting of Edit feature confusing. Bulk change feature practically hidden and incomplete - unable to set Category for multiple videos. I got my entire team set up and creating videos within a day. Plus Vidyard is very hands-on if you need it which I thought was great. They are willing to work with you to generate ways to integrate video into your sales and marketing process. **What do you dislike about Vidyard?** So far I don't have any big dislikes. I wish there were more features for lower-priced tiers but, hey, don't we all. I wish some of our "unpaid" personal accounts had the ability to download videos. Sometimes our team members will record videos on their personal account by accident then we are unable to get the video over to the team account. At first, I had some confusion with the difference between my personal account and our Hubspot account but Vidyard was great in clearing that up for me and helping me understand how to navigate the two accounts. **Recommendations to others considering Vidyard:** My advice is to reach out to Vidyard to discuss implementation before just trying to jump in. They are very very helpful. I made some mistakes attempting to do it all on my own. Even though the platform is easy to use, having some help for the experts will improve the implementation process. **What problems is Vidyard solving and how is that benefiting you?** One big problem we solved was access to analytics on our videos. We had all of our marketing videos on youtube then embedded on our website and that strategy didn't give us any feedback on how our videos impacted the buyer's journey. Vidyard has changed that for us. Additionally, it has opened up a whole new communication channel for our sales team. They are very happy with the responses they have been getting from including video in their emails. It definitely catches the eye and they are able to include more information in their communications. ### 49.
