It also does not limit the number of backup repositories you may choose. You can have multiple repositories. Also, it's very affordable compared to it's competitors. Easy to deploy as well. **What do you dislike about Veeam Data Platform?** Lack of a physical appliance, but it is also it's strength since you can deploy it anywhere (physical, virtual machine, on-cloud) and also store backup to almost all storages. **What problems is Veeam Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Has deduplication and compression, which easily declutters backup data VS native backup. Incremental backups also help save storage capacity. This means less time is needed to clean up data and more time to do other tasks. ### 38. There doesn't seem to be another company offering all these features for these price ranges. **What do you dislike about Veeam Data Platform?** There is a USB recovery option for the event that you need to restore to a different box. If you don't create the backup USB stick when prompted, it's not easy to find where to do it later, though it is there. **What problems is Veeam Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Veeam backup software has made it easy to verify that our backups are being completed. The product just works and is always seamless. If I do have an issue, the Veeam user community is great and Veeam support is always very responsive. I have actually joinged three different companies and have switched them from a different backup solution to Veeam just because of how painless this product has been for me. **What do you dislike about Veeam Data Platform?** Not a whole lot I do not like about this product. I wish there was a Veeam application that can be installed on a desktop that isn't as heavy as the one you would install on the server. **Recommendations to others considering Veeam Data Platform:** Just go with Veeam, you will not be upset. **What problems is Veeam Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has made taking backups way more efficient. We have NAS's, tape and remote backup and recovery is simple and fast. Support are generally good and have helped out quickly when we have required assistance. Community Editions are great for testing out new backup systems, we used the cloud version to test Azure backups then moved over to Veeam full time after 3 months of testing. **What do you dislike about Veeam Data Platform?** Per socket pricing can bring the price up depending on your hosts and how many CPUs you have on your hosts. Looking forward to subscription liceising in the future. Version 10 is clunky but upgrading to Version 11 for Backup and Replication did help the interface. **Recommendations to others considering Veeam Data Platform:** Definitely a look. Can be pricey depending on your infrastructure and what you have running, but works very well and tested with recovering from a NAS and Tape and recovery is always successful. **What problems is Veeam Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Old legacy backup copies to external hard drives and using the community edition for many years. The community edition was "ok" for 10 VMs but once we moved to newer systems our VMs list grew and having the support apart from the forums using the community editions has been a real help when moving over the paid version. ### 47.
