As product utilises S3 Cloud storage, which we can purchase considerably cheaper in blocks than providers can offer, it reduced backup costs by a large margin. I have had to call support a few times. In the earlier builds updating was horrible. It never completed correctly and support was required each time. I setup a new vm just for the veeam backup server. It ran about a year without issues until one day it started failing all of my backups. The issue was fixed by support but took several days. My favorite is Veeam Data Platform, which offers a simple job creation process. It offers several very powerful features: full backup, synthetic backup, incremental backup, DD-Boost protocol and dedicated external repository. User friendly, however the software used to stop working every so often and require a reinstall but that has not happened in the last year at the very least so an update must have fixed that. Veeam creates VM snapshots once in a while and it is not clear why. Maybe in the snapshot description there can be more detail on why and which backup created the snapshot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how robust Veeam is for backing up a wide range of operating systems, and being able to manage them from a single location. Even utilizing cloud storage like Wasabi is seamless to set up in Veeam, which makes it easy for us to manage all backups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't really have any negative things to say about Veeam. It is a superior backup software compared to other options, such as Acronis.
