It works only on Apple iPhones and iPads that have a headphone port. Apple has not sold an iPhone with a headphone port in a long time, and Apple stopped selling its last iPad model with an headphone port in 2024. Vanco advertises that a dedicated staff member will be available for the first 30 days to help new customers with setup. That experience was disappointing. It consisted mostly of sending me generic email messages with training videos and templates for announcing use of Vanco to constituents. I tried one of the training videos. That was also disappointing. The person doing the demo in the video said multiple times, "Your screen will not look like this, but ...." Why show me something that is different from what I am using? **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is proving a good platform to accept online donations and payments. This saves time vs having to handle cash or checks. ### 2. We have been using Vanco in one form or another for the past 7 years, and love all of the updates that they continue to do to how they serve their clients' needs. **What do you dislike about Vanco Faith?** If I had to nitpick, it would be the integration issues with their older software services and their new ones. For example, I have a Vanco desktop admin login, and a Vanco Mobile admin login, I feel this should be able to be one-in-the-same, since I am the admin for both, but again, it is only nit-picking. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** With the shift to online worship and people not attending in-person church as frequently pre-pandemic era, there is a need for a consistent form of tithing for those people, Vanco provides this with multiple venues, ie. online, texting, mobile app, and more, they have even added the ability to hold Zoom meetings and schedule them directly through their mobile app, which has closed a gap for members who want to attend small bible studies but feel safer not coming to church right now. ### 4. Our church has not made much use of the main website tools, mainly because there are modest concerns that giving into the various online buckets may or may not mesh well with the existing/legacy financial software used at our church. **What do you dislike about Vanco Faith?** Not sure that there's anything we don't like. Just wish the tools available were more commonly used by our members. While our e-giving at our church is good (in terms of percentages) the text and mobile giving still seems pretty small. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** Providing options for giving seems like a good idea. I'm told that having mobile giving options leans positive, particularly for younger people and their families. Clearly one size fits all is for a time long ago. ### 5. Lots of options to create a helpful posts for payments/donations. If there was a new employee, Vanco was willing to help them learn the system. My latest experiences haven't been as good. They redirect you, but if you don't know how....you are on your own. That is NOT how it was in the past, so I'm a little disappointed. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a platform to accept credit cards. This has been a good option for credit card transactions and continuous donations. ### 6. Since updating their dashboard a couple of years ago, it's easy to update online giving on our end. And it is easy for people to give/change their giving options. The overall look is visually pleasing as well. They also have the best credit card processing rates that we have seen! **What do you dislike about Vanco Faith?** I don't have a ton of experience with other companies, so I don't have much negative feedback. One issue we have run into is when someone gives but didn't make an account, they have no way of changing anything on their end. That would probably happen anywhere though. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** They make it easy for our congregation to give. I know Vanco is quick to respond if we run into any issues. I don't have to question if someone's giving is correct or not, so it makes everything easier at the end of the year. ### 7. From a management standpoint, Vanco is easy to set up funds, activate and deactivate as needed, and set up web pages. Reports are easy to use. Reconciling at month's end takes some time but is easy to do. Vanco interfaces with PowerChurch which reduces business office time. Vanco also provides marketing tools to help increase donations, which is very helpful. **What do you dislike about Vanco Faith?** It's not so much a dislike as much as informing users what is required to balance each month. Reconciling at month's end requires three reports. It's a bit time-consuming but is not hard to do. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** Can't think of any. ### 8. They go above and beyond to ensure their level of security for your patrons and your business exceeds expectations. Their customer service is patient and understanding. They have apps and processes that help couple all areas of giving and make sure they are accurate in their reporting. You're also not limited to just one stream of giving. As the number of online transactions increases, thetotal cost increases. The layout varies from report type to report type where things are lined up. It would be far easier to flip from one to another if the fields were all in line report to report. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vanco provides a convenient way for people to perform one-time giving; as well as, continuous giving. The process is pretty simple but very basic. That may be my fault, but there doesn't seem to be many options from which to choose. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been with the organization for 1 1/2 years and was never adequately trained to Manage their Web Pages. I've called and spoken to a Vanco Customer Service Rep. several times. They have always been understanding and able to assist me promptly. ### 20. Also, editing existing templates is time -consuming. In addition, it conveniently locates everything to one place, and we can link our online giving directly to our church software for ease of documenting tithes. **What do you dislike about Vanco Faith?** As is true with all technology, it doesn't always work as we want it to. For example, some users have had issues setting up their recurring tithe. I tried to help them and called Vanco Support. The best answer I got was for the user to download the latest version of the app or to completely delete their tithes and start over. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vanco Faith helps us connect our members (and non-members) who are unable to be with us in person. This was especially important during Covid when we wanted to do everything we could to stay connected, especially online. ### 22. If anything, I don't find many answers on the help page I get redirected to. I never have trouble getting someone on the line whenever I have a question or a problem. With many other companies I have to talk to an automated system and then wait on hold forever, but that's never happened with Vanco. **What do you dislike about Vanco Faith?** I would prefer to have an improved documentation capability. In my experience, if something isn't documented then it "never happened". Currently, the documentation on the Vanco system is a little clumsy. I've learned to live with it but I'd be so happy if they made some changes. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** It gives me the unlimited ability to schedule payments for our donors and is very user-friendly when it comes to making changes. Very misleading. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can offer a way for individuals who cannot attend in person, to be able to make their tithe / offering. ### 36. One of the only donation platforms that allow gifts to multiple funds and one checkout for all of them. We can set up our own webpages. It's easy to use, and the support is awesome! Set up wasn't hard, especially with the one-on-one help they give you. Our parishioners love being able to give online or by text. **What problems is Vanco Faith solving and how is that benefiting you?** Young people don't typically carry cash or checks with them, so giving at church had dropped off some. With GivePlus, they can go online, use our Text to Give number, or set up an automatic giving.
