I also like that they do a great job of explaining each study in detali. **What do you dislike about UserTest.io?** I don't particularly appreciate that they have a lot of studies that you have to use your own money for. I think that is creating a lot of liability on their part. **What problems is UserTest.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** I think that we are solving consumer problems for companies that you would not usually think of. Like, online slots or dog food products. Those are things we normally don't think about. ### 2. Slow recruitment, sub-par quality participants **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2018 **What do you like best about UserTest.io?** Usertest.io lets you pay per participant, eliminating the need for an annual contract like we have to with similar companies. **What do you dislike about UserTest.io?** The turnaround for recruitment process is significantly slower than its competitors, at least in the US. The quality of participants is lacking compared to its competitors. Customer support is slow to respond. **Recommendations to others considering UserTest.io:** I would recommend UserTest.io if you are not up against a deadline and need to run a test to make a quick decision, as recruitment in the US can take 5~7 days. It's also a good solution if you don't need to gather written/multiple choice responses in addition to the audio and video recordings. It is also much more cost effective compared to similar products in the market today. **What problems is UserTest.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am trying to gather user insights using UserTest.io. The concept is great and there is definitely a need for this product - the execution is just not there yet, and we can't wait around 1+ week waiting for participants. **Official Response from Preston Daniel:** > Hey there, Thank you for your review and feedback of UserTest.io. Sometimes up to 3 days for videos to come through. **Recommendations to others considering UserTest.io:** Give it a go. It is vastly cheaper than their competitors, not as complex but that is somewhat a small bonus. **What problems is UserTest.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** You should always be listening to your users, real revenue lies in what your users think of your site.
