**What do you like best about UserGems?**

I like how UserGems turns passive relationship equity into actionable, revenue-driving opportunities without adding manual work for global sales, CS, and RevOps teams. It's specifically designed for B2B and avoids unnecessary features, focusing instead on solving specific pain points and ensuring global team alignment. I appreciate its advanced contact intelligence, which accurately identifies and enriches contact information, and its ability to identify changes in job titles or companies, helping our sales and marketing teams adjust their outreach strategies. Another valuable feature is its integration capabilities, especially with CRM systems, which streamline our workflow by eliminating the need for manual data entry and providing a unified view of customer relationships. The initial setup of UserGems is also relatively easy.

Integrating UserGems with some less-common or custom-built CRM systems can be a challenge. The tool seems to have more seamless integrations with popular CRMs like Salesforce and HubSpot. **What do you like best about UserGems?**

I used UserGems regularly in my previous role, and it quickly became one of my favorite sales tools. It made it so easy to stay on top of buyer and customer job changes — something that used to take hours of manual research.

Every week, I’d get new alerts when champions or key contacts moved to new companies, which gave me warm leads and helped kick off new conversations right away. The integration with our CRM was smooth and saved a ton of time.

If your team relies on relationships and warm intros to drive pipeline, UserGems is a must-have. It’s simple to use, delivers high-quality data, and helps you turn previous customers into your next best leads.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

Occasionally, the job-change alerts came a bit late — usually just a few days behind LinkedIn updates — but it wasn’t a dealbreaker given how accurate the data was overall.

UserGems solves the problem of losing track of past champions and customers when they change jobs. Instead of manually checking LinkedIn, I get automatic alerts when key contacts move to new companies — giving me warm leads and an easy way to start new conversations.

It’s been a huge time-saver and a big help for building pipeline. Reaching out to people who already know and trust your product is a total game-changer compared to cold outreach.

Would love to see deeper enrichment on smaller accounts and slightly faster sync times—but overall, very minor compared to the value it brings.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

As we approach our fifth anniversary as a UserGems client it is a great time to share with others what a fantastic resource UserGems is.  
Our Account Executives appreciate the leads as these are former users who have moved to a different organization that is not a current client.  It sounds so simple and it works!  We have sales every week from these leads.  UserGems also provides additional contacts for opportunities that we are already working and this multi-threading has been beneficial.  We have also set up target accounts and UserGems notifies us when a new person is promoted or hired into a position that we would want to reach out to.
If you have users that move to another organization and you believe they would be a good prospect then you must have UserGems!

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

The only downside may be the volume of leads.  We have a dedicated BDR to vet the leads and create opportunities for the Account Executives.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our industry, our users tend to move around with an average tenure of less than two years.  UserGems helps us stay in touch with these users and connect with them at their new organisation.  We have users that have purchased our product as many as six times!

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

UserGems automates the hours I would normally spend hunting for potential champions.  It surfaces contacts at prospect accounts who've recently moved over from accounts using our software.  These indivuduls have proven to be strong champions time and again.  If they already have firsthand experience with the value our software provides, they're exactly the type of person I want to speak to at a new account.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

It can sometimes takes a while for new suggestions to populate.  Realistically, it's competely fine because reaching out to someone who's been a at a new org for a week is much too early.  Once they've been there for a few monhts and have an understanding of how the new org operates, that's the best time to talk with them.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team would spend a huge portion of time hunting for exactly the type of contacts UserGems drops in our lap on a regular basis.  We accelerate our pipeline generation with the inputs it gives us.

Most helpful thing about UserGems: My team gets monthly batches of UserGems to reach out to and I've found in my previous role as a BDR and in my current role as an AE that UserGems consistently outperforms other leads that we self-generate. We're constantly using UserGem reports for outreach within my organization because it's easy & straightforward.

Upsides: Direct source to people who are familiar with the platform I sell, saving time regarding the necessary steps in our sales process and leading to higher deal sizes.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

Least helpful: On rare occasions I'll have UserGems that are not in industries or job roles that would make my outreach valid to that prospect, but that's rarely an issue if you spend a few seconds looking at the person's LinkedIn profile before reaching out.

Downsides: None! Who can complain about hotter leads and higher deal sizes from previous happy customers?

It is so helpful to understand who within a company I am selling to has used our product, great way to understand champions and who may be able to help get us farther along in a deal.

Sometimes the email pings gets to me after I am far into the deal, and would love to involve the people identified sooner.

It can be difficult to understand all stakeholders in a deal and in this day and age, you need to have multiple people involved to get a deal over the line, so UserGems gives great insights into who may be helpful to champion the sale. It saves hours of digging to try and find that info myself.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

The fact that they're so automated, once it's set up, it's easy to compile a list of leads to flow into a campaign or cadence. They are integrated with our CRM system and automatically create new contact and account records directly in our salesforce. Their CSMs are great to work with and provide a lot of guidance for how to get the most out of your instance. You can also create parameters around the types of leads you want or don't want so you're not paying for unqualified leads.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

They can be a bit expensive, however we've been able to prove the ROI year over year so in the end it's worth the investment for us.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

re-engaging and tracking key contacts in our target audience who have left their organization to join another. These contacts have used our solution in past and so this is low hanging fruit for us to get our foot in the door at their new company.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

UserGems is an absolute lifesaver for anyone in sales! It's like having a personal assistant who's always on top of the latest job changes and company updates. I love how it automates the process of finding new leads and keeping track of my target accounts. The ability to see when someone from my target account moves to a new company is pure gold. It's definitely helped me close more deals.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

While UserGems is fantastic overall, I do wish the platform had a slightly better way to filter leads based on specific criteria. Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming with the amount of data, and it would be great to have more granular control over the search function. Also, while the data is generally accurate, there have been a few instances where information was slightly outdated.

I couldn't find people who use to use our software in previous company and UserGems made that easy!

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

UserGems is extremely valuable in tracking customers for job changes and resurfacing them to our SDR team. Our SDR team loves their monthly usergems batch because they know these leads will be warm and know our brand. Also, our customer success manager, Steven, has been extremely supportive, creative and really helped us get this off the ground.

We've recently started using the Meeting Assistant functionality as well and it has helped our CS and customer-facing teams be more efficient and ensure key contacts are not slipping through the cracks into our CRM .

It took us a bit to start seeing results but once we did it really took off.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking customers when they leave companies, helps our CS team make sure they find a new primary contact at the client company. Pipeline creation has been big too

UserGems surfaces high quality leads to our BDR team: ICPs who are new in their role, recently promoted, and people who have used our software who have moved companies (previous users). These leads are surfaced to our BDRs and are easy to action on. It's the tool that's generated the most opportunities for us and often those opps result in closed revenue.

Sometimes the import process can be a little manual.

UserGems is surfacing high quality leads to our BDR team which allows them to focus their efforts on contacts that will convert at a higher rate.

I love that UserGems delivers on what it promises. It makes it easier to track your champions moving organizations and leveraging that to grow your sales with a former user.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

I wish it linked to LI profiles. Sometimes it creates mismatches that have to be manually managed.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps track champions moving from a current user organization to a new one. Being in 'Net New Business' / hunter role within sales, this creates a unique opportunity to pitch to former users and acquire new logos. Often much faster than ones where we don't have former users.

Their data on tracking job changes is solid, and their UI is constantly evolving, making it easier to visualize important information. They don't just hand over data, their CS team is terrific, equipping you with playbooks for taking their data and turning it into tactics.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

There is not much to dislike about UserGems. If tracking job changes is important to your business, it's very solid.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People who have worked with our data at previous companies are the best source of fast-closing deals as they already know the value of our data. Linkedin Sales Navigator is able track this data, but you hit limits of number of changes tracked, and with anything you do in Linkedin, it's hard to get their data out of Linkedin and into your CRM. UserGems eliminates both challenges (limits, and getting data out).

Trying to track former buyers and users across our entire former and current customer base is impossible.  There's just not enough time in the day.  With UserGems when someone switches companies I get a notification and it's made my pipe fat!

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

No downsides - If I had a magic wand I would ask for sentiment from the prospect on their feelings towards our product so I know what I'm walking into, but that's a lot to ask.

It's helping me track and identify people who used my product at a previous company so I can sell to them again.

UserGems' "Uncontacted" and "Contacts that Left" updates are absolute gold to me.  I work in an industry that has constant changes to the decision makers and champions I work with.  UserGems' updates via email ensure that key contacts do not fall throug the cracks.

Nothing - it does exactly what I need it to do.

UserGems has been one of our highest performing programs to drive qualified meetings that not only turn into open opportunities, but actually close well - and this is year in and year out. We've been a UserGems customer for about 5 years now and will continue to be.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

This isn't a deal breaker by any means, but I do wish I could self-serve and trigger the send of the UserGems batches into our system either in an automated way or by me clicking a button within the platform, but I do understand it's likely way more complex than it seems.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

I love the ease of use and the alerts I get sent. UG covers all fronts through email & slack alerts when former users join new companies. The Salesforce Report is a great resource to have a full list view and it also integrates well with Demandbase.

What I love most is the job change alerts, especially for champions! 

This saves me hours of prospecting and allows me to get quick wins!

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

I honestly have no complaints about UserGems.

**What problems is UserGems solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserGems allows me to stay up to speed on all job changes across my accounts. I now never miss when a champion or user joins a new company. I can quickly reach out to begin the conversation and hoping have a quick win.

This saves me hours of prospecting and trying to keep a manual spreadsheet.

**What do you like best about UserGems?**

UserGems solved the age-old problem of staying in touch with business contacts and re-engaging with them as they move to new companies. We had been trying to find a solution for this, when we heard about UserGems. It is so easy to use, integrates with Salesforce, and makes it simple to identify if a prospect is still within your persona/ ICP. Implementation was straightforward and we've had ongoing support throughout the process! Our Customer Success manager has been great to work and strategize with. She always comes to calls ready to discuss plans and is very good at keeping track of our plans!

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

I wish they were able to provide emails for all contacts. They can provide 75% of emails for contacts with 95% accuracy but of course, it would be ideal if they had more email data.

UserGems helps us in touch with business contacts and re-engage with them as they move to new companies.

UserGems makes it so easy to track when past users move from one company to another, so that you can be one of the first messages they receive in their new role.  This is great for product champions, but also incredibly helpful for getting referrals from people that were maybe just users/consumers of your product in the past. 

I also love the morning updates that outline every outside contact you will be meeting with throughout the day, tagging their LinkedIn and noting how many times your met with them before.

UserGems has been awesome for generating qualified leads. By identifying key contacts who have recently switched jobs into roles we target, UserGems enables us to reach promising accounts at just the right time. Shortly after buying UserGems, we started seeing results in the form of solid leads and opportunities. Their customized lead lists align well with our ideal customer profile. Overall I appreciate UserGems’ responsiveness and willingness to refine targeting as needed. We plan to continue leveraging their lead-gen capabilities. The best thing about UserGems by far is their service and our CSM Tony Bulgarella. Always on point, dedicated, committed, and pushes us to leverage UserGems in the best way possible.

The doubling of data in our CRM and the noticeable discrepancy between internal and UserGems reporting have been ongoing challenges. This hampers the reliability of insights and affects our workflow efficiency. As a sales development team, one of our biggest challenges has been identifying quality leads to pursue. The quality of the job change alerts from UserGems has been great. The data is very clean and accurate, with few irrelevant contacts coming through. This makes it easy for our SDRs to follow up on the alerts and convert them into real conversations. I'm impressed with how targeted the alerts are - the new persona matching we implemented with Caroline has helped route the alerts to the right sales playbooks. Caroline also made it a very easy setup for us. She worked with both teams to make sure we were implementing this with the rest of our tech stack properly.

**What do you dislike about UserGems?**

One initial challenge was getting the job change alerts to route to the right SDRs since a portion weren't matching our personas and playbooks. However, Caroline was extremely responsive, and we collaborated to expand the titles mapped to each persona. She quickly reconfigured the alerts on her end, resending any that hadn't routed properly. Now the alerts flow directly to the right reps for follow up. I'm confident that with the persona adjustments we made, lead routing will continue working smoothly. Overall, the UserGems team has been a true partner in optimizing the program for our tech stack.

UserGems allows us to get in front of buyers who already know about SnapLogic and have been in an opportunity with us previously in an automated fashion. Manually tracking these changes was near impossible before, and now UserGems has become a new demand generation lever for our revenue team.

When you know your prospect already loves using your tech, booking and closing deals is so much easier. The challenge is just finding those people without having to dig through Salesforce or LinkedIn constantly.

Thankfully, UserGems 💎 takes care of that for me by sending me a weekly list of leads in my accounts that were previous Gong customers. And because Gong's product is so good, it's usually safe to assume these folks are already raving fans of our platform.

If you're in the revenue org and not using UserGems yet, highly recommend taking a look.

I have been really impressed with UserGems so far. We've been onboarding/looking at various new tools lately, and UserGems is by far the easiest and most pleasant to work with. The CSM and implementation rep we've been working with are both phenomenal, and have been ready to support us with any questions. They go above and beyond to make UserGems work exactly how we want it to with our CRM.

There are quite a few steps required to get it up and running, but the team has been super helpful in troubleshooting any issues we've encountered, and they do as much of the work behind-the-scenes for us as they can.
