- Expected there to be more ease of implementation. It took a long time for them to figure out how to remove advertising cookies from the site.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

I appreciated how quickly we were able to get the tool implemented for cookie preference management on our websites.  Our team was able to implement the tool in a matter of days.  Out of the box, the tool seems to have what we were looking for and extensive customization was not necessary.  Especially as related to DSAR and DPIA processes.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

Accessing Nymity and content was a bit cumbersome.  It seems like this process could be easier.  More filters, tags, etc. would be helpful to find, filter, and analyze relevant information.  This would especially help in regards to analyzing risk, common penalties, etc.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue pertains to Cookie Consent Management.  Implementing this capability was quick and easy on our website.  Minimal customization was necessary.  It just "worked" out of the box.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

A good combination of an automated compliance maintenance platform and in-person support. The portal makes it easy to manage compliance evidence. It also permits us to monitor our compliance against any applicable legislation as well as against emerging legislation.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

The online platform can be less than intuitive to navigate. This is probably somewhat inevitable given the large amount of information to be managed in a dynamic environment. With a little familiarizing one can get acclimated without too much difficulty. And if something comesup that is completely baffling, their support is excellent.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Demosntrating compliance with applicable privacy legislation both domectically (US which is still state-by-state) and globally. As a B2B sales and marketing organization, staying abreast of data privacy compliance is critical for us.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

We migrated from Cookiebot to TrustArc a few years ago and it was a vast improvement. Cookibot was not compliant, it did not have a good customer experience and visually it was very elementary. We've had great success for TrustArc and appreciate that is compliant and fiarly easy to navigate. At this point, a lot of websites around our company have chose TrustArc as our cookie manegement tool of choice. Also like that we can use it internationally.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

There have been a few bugs. For example,  in June/July of this year we lost GA4 data due to a TrustArc error (I believe this happened to all their clients).

Consent manager and cookie management platform.

We have great support and monthly emails that detail any changes that have accured.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

We don't always have a clear understanding of what the change was and that can lead to internal struggles with the team that manages our cookies.  We have had internal restructuring and have not been able to get the new people aliged to the montly emails after several attempts.

I am a little uncertain as to whether or not what they provide is considered legitimate. It's not quite the level of, for example, a SOC2 attestation.

I have enjoyed how easy it is to navigate theorugh the assessment questions.  Also, i have appreciated the assistance that my account rep has provided throughout various stages of the certification process.

The new assessment tool pulled in artifacts from the old assessment and some of those artifacts were inaccurately tagged and were not relevant to the question.

For me, the best thing about TrustArc is its ability to provide comprehensive reporting and data analysis. This helps our company to develop more effective strategies and gain invaluable knowledge. It also serves as a central location for sharing privacy-related data between my staff and other organisations, which facilitates communication and collaboration. As a result of this improved supplier management, we have been able to achieve greater team cohesion in our business endeavours.

We appreciate TrustArc's services, but find the sales tactics used to promote their additional offerings to be overbearing. Rather than providing practical advice, some of their webinars focus on promoting various services without sufficient educational value for our purposes. We dislike this approach as it often requires us to invest in upgrades before we get any useful information.

It allows me to easily analyse risks and protections separately, so I don't have to worry about ensuring compliance with all applicable privacy laws.

Sailing through the choppy waters of data privacy rules is smooth sailing with TrustArc. It has everything you need to not just meet those rules but actually handle them with ease. The Data Flow Manager is a game-changer - it’s like a map that shows you how data moves around in your company. Super helpful for knowing and jotting down everything about data processing.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

TrustArc's looks need some work - it's kinda old-school and not that easy to use, which can slow you down. Plus, getting started is like solving a puzzle without a picture. It would be way cool if they had some how-tos or someone to help show you the ropes.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TrustArc helps make sense of all the confusing data privacy rules around the world. No one wants a data leak to ruin their name, and TrustArc’s tools make sure you're playing by the rules. By sticking to rules like GDPR, you avoid getting slapped with fines. It finds weak spots where data can leak and keeps everything open and honest. This beefs up data security and makes people trust you more.

**What do you like best about TrustArc?**

TrustArc helps Red Hat stay compliant with GDPR laws. Working with TrustArc's customer success managers has been very positive for me and Sandra as Red Hat employees. I regularly all weekly checkpoint calls, and while Sandra approaches these calls from the IT Legal perspective, I am approaching this from a Marketing perspective. To date, all our questions and curiosities have been addressed. Here is a list of items I personally like best about TrustArc:

1. When asked for a demo of the WMM self-service portal, we got a full walkthrough. That was invaluable. We learned information that was either previously unknown or not made clear. This includes the ability to:
- Run unlimited, custom scans. Recurring scans with auto-notifications can be easily setup
- Review all one-time and quarterly scans that have been run through WMM
- View all tracking domains associated with a vendor (per scan)
- View all individual trackers (cookies, HTML 5, web beacon, javascript, etag) associated with a vendor / tracking domain (per scan)
- View the chain of javascript calls to drop tracker, which may be useful to investigate trackers (where they're coming from, how they're dropping)
- The WMM portal can be used as a governance tool to whitelist vendors and tracking domains and organize internal due diligence activities (whitelisting has no impact on consent manager or scans)
- Identify domains and subdomains with page errors (404, etc.). Not compliance related but useful from an infrastructure / SEO standpoint
- View resource requirements and load times for trackers. Not compliance related but useful from an infrastructure / SEO standpoint

2. Tickets submitted to TrustArc are always addressed in a timely manner. 

3. Implementation of accessibility updates has been a seamless process

4. Questions regarding the TrustArc reporting tool have all been answered, which is critical since it's driven a lot of work around the Marketing Compliance KPIs we're tracking.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

Dislike is a strong word. These are constructive points of feedback:

1. The reporting tool is still very much lacking. This is something that's been discussed at length, and I've been told it's a priority item to address and update.
2. The WMM portal is also lacking. The UI and capabilities could all be improved. I use the WMM portal to run audits across multiple sites at once. The most frustrating thing is expanding the dropdown for a scan (which may contain multiple scanned properties), clicking on a link to open the report on an individual property, and then navigating back to the original report page, which makes me re-expand the drop down and find the next property I need to review. I wish the expanded view would remain or allow the WMM Tool to open separate links on individual property scan reports.
3. There was a little miscommunication during the end of last year's CPRA updates, but I believe that's all already been discussed, so there is no need to rehash. Sandra and I are usually the only two on weekly checkpoint calls, so when major changes need to occur, urgency and timeline should be addressed upfront and on every call thereafter. In addition, we lean on the TrustArc CSM to read between the lines and help us fulfill obligations, expectations, and timelines coming from Red Hat's legal team.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TrustArc is keeping permissions for us to drop cookies and use that cookie data. It lists out the cookies by name, classifies them by advertising/required/functional, and allows opt-out/rejection of non-required cookies. While this is what we would need from any CCM, TrustArc does a great job all around.

For Red Hat specifically, to remain in compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA, Red Hat uses TrustArc’s Cookie Consent Manager as well as Adobe Tag Manager. TrustArc allows users in express consent regions, such as Europe or California, to explicitly consent to the activation of cookies, and Adobe Tag Manager will then allow or block the tags dropping the cookies based on the visitors’ preferences.

The deep dives TrustArc does on data protection are worth their weight in gold. They let you see how handling data can mess with privacy, and how to stop any bad vibes. Plus, there are nifty tools to see how your data game stacks up to the rest of the pack.

**What do you dislike about TrustArc?**

The reports TrustArc churns out can sometimes be kinda shallow, and messing with them to dig deeper is a brain-ache. Plus, hooking it up with the stuff you’ve already got can be a bumpy ride, which can put the brakes on getting stuff done.

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TrustArc is ace at helping you win over customers by handling data like a pro. The privacy tools show folks you’re dead serious about keeping their data safe, which can make your brand sparkle and keep customers coming back for more.

They have a straightforward value prop and it was not incredibly difficult to implement (although we could not fully customize).

When we first implemented, we had several issues of trust arc freezing, which blocked a access to the rest of our website as accepting cookies was a key requirement. Additionally when we did have issues, we would often spend at least an hour or two trying to get in touch with someone as there was not a good support system at the time. With that said, I believe things had improved over the later year

**What problems is TrustArc solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to collect consent without developing our own tool.

TrustArc has helped address policy acceptance and tracking on our public-facing website.  The tool has also helped us address privacy regulation requirements by streamlining the process for PIAs, DSARs, and fulfilling customer requests about their private information. The software's comprehensive approach to data privacy, which includes privacy evaluations, partner management, and compliance document management, is what I appreciate most. In addition, it provides a range of compliance-related tools, including seminars and white papers.

Although I value TrustArc's advantages, such as its automation and usability, one area where it could be enhanced is client assistance. It can be irritating when a help ticket doesn't get an answer right away.

For us, TrustArc has been a savior. Our data privacy administration, which was previously a difficult and time-consuming procedure, has been simplified by the program. Data protection administration is now a breeze thanks to the built-in processes and reporting tools provided by it.

TrustArc is not going to do the hard legwork of figuring out where your data is sourced or held for you.  You need competent folks in your organization to buy-in to updating the platform and using it as your single source of truth for data management and documentation.

TrustArc is providing a framework that everyone involved in the above purposes to work from in order to collaborate to complete various tasks to that end.  Without TA, we would be doing this via email and spreadsheets, which would be absolute chaos.

I have been impressed with the support I have received from my account manager, account executive and other consultants. Their knowledge is immense, which I appreciate even more now that TrustArc has acquired Nymity due to the informative webinars and resources they provide. After Privacy Shield was invalidated, their quick action in providing timely webinar sessions along with data transfer advice and tools really made a difference to us - it's reassuring to know we have such dedicated support.

I appreciate TrustArc as a whole, but I think it would be beneficial if they increased the integration of their features. This would make the different aspects work better together and allow for a smoother operation.

The accessibility of the software is very user-friendly. Once you know what you're looking for, it's easy to navigate the system.

The program builder only shows what's missing in a checklist-style format, rather than providing a gap analysis. This might be more of an issue for my uses in the system rather than issues for my team though, so bear that in mind.

It is allowing us to better streamline the PIA process so that no new processes slip through the cracks. It has made it significantly easier to manage PIAs between all of the people who need to access and review it from submission to completion.
