I also like the fact that the dashboard allows me to see an overall financial picture of my business without a lot of manual input on my part. It would be nice if it were a little less expensive but the yearly pricing seems to be in keeping with other similar software that offers what I am looking for. Also, I have tried cheaper services and there is always a major component missing. **What problems is TrulySmall Accounting solving and how is that benefiting you?** TrulySmall Accounting allows me to keep up with my business accounting without entering a lot of information manually. With other software, I have found that there are always bank transactions or something else that I need to enter manually. When I fall behind with entering this information, as I typically do, my accounting becomes inaccurate and it prompts me to not utilize the software. TrulySmall Accounting allows me to import all of my key accounts and keeps them accurately updated. When I go to my account, even if I have not been as attentive as I should be, my balances and transactions are still accurate and give me a full, current financial picture. ### 4. Adding new clients is simple, and the actual act of creating invoices for those clients and sending them off is quick and easy. Whenever a client pays me, I can register that within 2 clicks. I don't have to do any special tracking of taxes paid, it handles that for me. I can create my own categories of invoices if necessary. I'm not a power user by any means, but everything I need it to do is done professionally. **What do you dislike about TrulySmall Accounting?** It still feels a little bit expensive for what it is, but this might simply be my lack of experience with comparable pieces of accounting software. It works as an excel sheet but does all calculating quickly and easily. It sorts all the things into the proper categories for expense reports for the end of the year also. The one thing I would like is a reminder system that I could set up to remind me to log in on a schedule so that I do not get behind entering the data. The included categories for all your transactions make it a great accounting software for a small business owner. Also, being able to specify specific categories that work for my business is so handy. Reporting at tax time is a breeze. In fact, this year my tax guy accepted their reports with hardly any changes necessary. Their customer service is fantastic and very responsive. It also might be a simple thing, but the color scheme that Kashoo has chosen to implement makes it very appealing and non-threatening. **What do you dislike about TrulySmall Accounting?** I do wish that some of their terminology made more sense. Some of the choices they made in their lexicon are quite confusing. Additionally, some extra training on best use of the system would go a long way! I also wish that they were moving more quickly with implementing 2.0 into their mobile app. That would really help me as I travel around the country with our show. **Recommendations to others considering TrulySmall Accounting:** Kashoo can do some amazing advanced things but it will not overwhelm you with the items at hand. It just works, and does what it needs to do. I had tried another company, but I think they are too Quick to release their software, and it has become too complicated. The ability for customers to access and track their invoices works well with FreshBooks. Also the way to set up any credit card fees from Paypal is very hard to do as it doesn't import that data from Paypal itself so I have to manually set up a cc fee account for Paypal. I had to read over their tutorials but still doesn't come easy for me. Now I just avoid Paypal payments completely to make my accounting easier. I am still trying to figure out a way to set a capital account without having it show as income. Lots to learn for someone who isn't familiar with accounting terms and practices. I haven't found a way (I didn't really ask the team for help) to set discounts on my invoice so that clients could see they were getting discounts. The customization of invoice look has some glitches as well. No matter how many times I save the template I want, it always revert back to the first one on the list. It's difficult for me to understand how to set up "deposit" amounts. I think this has to do with me not coming from accounting background. It just doesn't make sense how the tutorial shows it. When I started my own business from eh ground up it was great that it was an approachable cost to start and then I also could grow with it. I now have 3 people that have access to it and they are all in different locations so the cloud capabilities make is so easy for me to do on the road as well. I also use mostly Mac Computers so when I started most of the accounting software was designed for PC. Again their easy web and cloud version was so easy to learn and use. I also loved that although I had very basic accounting knowledge I could use it and also get help from time to time quickly and at no extra cost. **What do you dislike about TrulySmall Accounting?** I dislike that I can not adjust the outgoing email wording that comes with the invoices. This seems like an easy place that owners can customize a message the areflects their business and their type of customers. The one size fits all approach for this is not great. No accountants are familiar with it, making it "frowned upon" by most.
