The service honestly should cost less but they're doing a pretty good job so far too so no complaints there either. **What do you dislike about Trint?** The biggest one we really dislike about it is the speed. It literally takes awhile before transcribing something. It would have been okay at the start, but by now, they should have already upgraded their servers and made the whole process a lot faster. Another thing I don't find intuitive is the lack of Drag and Drop feature. I have to click a button to import an audio to be transcribed. Why no direct Drag and Drop feature at all? It makes a lot of sense and it will definitely make the users' lives easier. **What problems is Trint solving and how is that benefiting you?** We do a lot of video transcriptions so editors can better understand what the person in the video is saying so Trint is really helpful in that matter. We also do a lot of meeting transcriptions which again Trint really does well at. ### 4. Often, the individuals I interview have international accents -- not your typical Midwestern drawl. But Trint often understands words that I wasn't able to listening to the actual audio. That has really impressed me and made my job a lot easier. **What do you dislike about Trint?** We have some industry terms that are used frequently that Trint doesn't know, so I always have to change them. I wish there was an AI aspect that -- once I've changed it once or twice -- would automatically begin to recognize those terms. Trint sometimes has trouble recognizing the different speaker voices if more than 1 person is in the recorded conversation, so I have to change the speaker name frequently when reviewing a transcript. That's annoying but not usually a big problem. **What problems is Trint solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a writer, I do a lot of interviews. I "grew up" taking notes and having to go back and relisten to my recordings to ensure I got the quote correct. Now, I can concentrate on listening to the speaker, asking questions, and then letting Trint do the transcription. It saves so many hours of my time. I'm a freelance journalist and in some ways it's an insane luxury item to be paying for but I'd say I can do twice or maybe three times the amount of work I could without Trint, by using it. Even just being able to throw files into it to come back to, knowing that they're organised and searchable, means I can make so much more of every interview I get. Takes every car launch or 4-hour presentation and turns it into something I can reference back to easily, especially as something I can carry on my mobile phone. **What do you dislike about Trint?** Some of the interface can be slightly clunky but it's mostly that I use it so much I get muscle memory of how to do things and then am surprised by something moving. **What problems is Trint solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves the problem of transcription being incredibly laborious and time-consuming or a very expensive thing to pay someone else to do. I've tried so many transcription services that are so limiting and Trint does such a fabulous job! And I haven't yet figured out how to process multi-lingual interviews. Also, a little expensive if you don't use it constantly. **What problems is Trint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Usually when we return from a film shoot, we have a lot of new footage and audio to ingest and a lot of interviews we want transcribed. Using only PAs, that process used to take weeks, but with Trint we can turn around machine transcripts in a few hours of receiving proxies, and then we just need our PAs to go in and correct them. ### 12. We often even have videos with uncommon scientific terms, and it does a very good job of getting most of them right. **What do you dislike about Trint?** Their editor can glitch from time to time, where we will edit an entire transcript, and then for some reason it doesn't save it, which can be frustrating. Also, sometimes their editor doesn't load and we have to leave and come back an hour later to try it, because we just can't get it to load. The transcription is set to US English by default - I would prefer British English. It is sometimes slow to load a transcript. When you work with data on different languages it would be useful to be able to modify text on Trint. The only thing we would prefer is if we could share individual transcripts with our clients so that they could listen to interviews as well. Starting with time code "A" but jumping to time code "B" in the middle of the transcription. Also there's a bug a little bit annoying. Sometimes when you change a Speaker, transforms the rest of the speakers to this same speaker. Not the previous speakers, but the next ones. The interface for correcting transcripts is easy to use. **What do you dislike about Trint?** With larger files, the response on the interface can sometimes lag behind the person's typing speed, with changes taking a few seconds to appear on the screen. While the automatic labelling of speakers is very convenient, it sometimes makes an error when there is a long pause in the speech pattern- manually changing the speaker once results in the remainder of the speakers being mis-labelled, requiring further manual changes. The pricing is very budget friendly compared to other softwares. Also, customer support is super proactive and resolves our problems promptly. **What do you dislike about Trint?** There is nothing much I dislike about trint. But, there is a scope for improvement in the accuracy of Non-English transcripts. Before trint we used to rely on transcription agencies and waiting 2-3 days to get transcripts was consuming much of our report-making time.
