Before we switched over, we depended entirely on Axcient x360Sync to back up our Sylaps meeting server. I still remember that stressful spring incident, when storage corruption hit our production VM and Axcient’s file‑level sync could not restore the complete system state. I burned hours manually rebuilding the environment and had to reschedule multiple client portfolio review sessions. That messy recovery drove home how dangerous it was for us to rely on a file‑sync tool for full disaster recovery. TierPoint DRaaS removes the burden of managing a whole separate off‑site recovery stack from scratch and offers me peace of mind by providing a tested recovery safety net for our client‑facing meeting environment. The automated replication removes the repetitive manual work, ensuring consistent replication of our Sylaps instance states, configurations, and audit‑ready meeting logs without needing my manual triggers. I also appreciate the continuous background replication that runs no matter how busy my calendar gets with client‑related tasks and compliance check‑ins. This automation gives me straightforward tools to run quarterly failover tests. I can simulate full‑site outages within the platform, validate recovery readiness, and generate proof for our compliance officer, all without touching live client consultation sessions or risking client trust. It frees up my limited time so I can focus on maintaining Sylaps and supporting our investment advisors instead of babysitting backup jobs. **What do you dislike about TierPoint DRaaS?** Full-instance failover works reliably, but granular restoration options feel limited for our compliance-heavy investment-management workflows. Back in April, we needed to recover only a set of specific Sylaps meeting log files for an internal audit request. I could only restore the entire replicated VM snapshot; there was no built-in way to pick and export individual log records directly from the recovery repository. I had to spin up the whole recovered instance, wait for it to boot, then manually dig out and export the required logs. That whole process ate up almost half of my workday and created unnecessary extra VM overhead just to retrieve a small subset of data. The reporting UI also leaves room for improvement. While we can pull high-level RTO compliance reports, the granular replication-job logs are hard to parse. Once I noticed one small segment of our Sylaps configuration files had fallen slightly behind in replication. The main dashboard showed replication status as 'healthy', and I had to dig deep into raw exported log files to spot that minor drift. There were no targeted alerts to flag partial replication gaps, only major full-failure notifications. **What problems is TierPoint DRaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** TierPoint DRaaS protects our Sylaps environment, ensuring business continuity and rapid recovery from unexpected outages. Previously we used Axcient x360Sync for protection, and that storage corruption incident really exposed our vulnerabilities. When our production VM became corrupted, we could not get a complete VM restore, client portfolio calls got cancelled, and our compliance team grew nervous because critical meeting records were temporarily inaccessible. As a 28‑person investment firm with only me handling all collaboration infrastructure, we simply do not have manpower to build and operate a redundant off‑site recovery environment internally. TierPoint DRaaS automates replication, saving me from error‑prone manual snapshot tasks and cutting down human risk. I no longer have to scramble to remember to kick off backup jobs amid fire‑drill client emergencies. The system also supports compliance by continuously safeguarding meeting logs and virtual machine states, making it essential for our regulated client consultations. When I run quarterly failover drills, I can prove recovery readiness to our compliance lead with exported test results. It drastically lowers our exposure to costly‑client‑facing outages. TierPoint DRaaS integrated with all the other systems. Any failure is easy to manage, and communicating to share the system's health is easy. **What do you dislike about TierPoint DRaaS?** As of now, it meets my organization's requirements. **Recommendations to others considering TierPoint DRaaS:** Back up of Data is essential, and TierPoint DRaaS provides backup, disaster recovery, and secure access solutions, delivers data protection and management for the cloud **What problems is TierPoint DRaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Once set, it is more convenient for us to track failure, share the report, backup data in the cloud in case of natural disaster or any disaster is easy. Hupervisor replications help cut down on time to whole. Overall we feel that we are getting the value from the platform we need. **What do you dislike about TierPoint DRaaS?** I've only had good experiences with this service but in tbt past responsiveness from TierPoint has been a issue. This team doesn't seem to have that problem though. **What problems is TierPoint DRaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a small part of our data safety plan. The benefits are pretty straight forward my data is backed up and someone handles the updates, management and recovery if need be. ### 5.
