Tidy3D is extraordinarily fast in both runtime (minutes to run calculations that would otherwise take days) and in scientist/engineer time w/ Python scripting. For a modest workload, it's also cheaper to pay for running the jobs you need rather than buying an entire license via a competitor like Ansys Lumerical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tidy3D, still being a fairly new software, has some additional functionality to be developed. In just the past year, however, much has been added such as anisotropic material support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
