**What do you like best about Thunder for EC2?**

We can opt for Thundera as a cost-effective solution for recovering your EC2 instances as its provisioning is effective for your requirements. It provides an option to generate a signed SSL certificate for security validations. We can also go for manual provisioning of Thunder for our EC2 instances in case certain criteria are not satisfied in our AWS environment through the Thunder user interface.

**What do you dislike about Thunder for EC2?**

Since it is focused on providing dedicated EC2 solutions for small-scale enterprises, it only allows us to create one Admin user who has all permissions. This becomes complicated when implemented for mid-tier & large-scale companies as they would require 24/7 support for access requests and one person won't be able to handle it fully.

**What problems is Thunder for EC2 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We implemented Thunder for a short-term project where our customer expected a cost-effective solution for EC2 disaster recovery. As our customer was a small-scale industry, we were able to provision their SOP as per the requirements with Thunder. For its automated snapshot replication, we utilized CloudFormation and for the custom workload, we leveraged its manual configuration feature. Secondary instances were provisioned in case of extended outage scenarios in the Primary AWS region.
