## theFunded Reviews
  ### 1. Only if you're a CEO

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin H. | Web Producer, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2012

**What do you like best about theFunded?**

TheFunded seems to be a good place to get information about VC and startups. Because they curate their members carefully, most people on there seem to know what it is they're talking about.

**What do you dislike about theFunded?**

I dislike quite a few things. The site itself is really ugly and unintuitive. Also, the sign-up process seems kind of silly, too. According to the sign up page, you have to be a CEO, founder, lawyer, service provider, or limited partner (as verified by your LinkedIn information) in order to join. Why not have a way where you can sign up and read about VC without actually being in VC?

**Recommendations to others considering theFunded:**

If you can join, good for you. If you are intimidated by the sign-up restrictions, try looking for a local forum or other site where you can start a VC thread. Even LinkedIn is probably a fine option. Also, if you live in the Midwest, BuiltInChicago.org is a great place to start.

  ### 2. Excellent Funding Review Site

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erich R. | Co-founder & CSO, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2012

**What do you like best about theFunded?**

I've never had the opportunity to raise capital for a company, but I definitely am interested in hearing about a number of people discuss the capital raising process. This is the premier source for all the reviews, news, and gossip around VC's and angels. I don't think there is a collection of people on any other site that is as complete as this.

**What do you dislike about theFunded?**

You have to take some of the review with a grain of salt. There is some bitterness, bias, and some outright lies.

**Recommendations to others considering theFunded:**

There isn't really any better site for news, reviews, and insight into the world of capital raising. Definitely would recommend it.
