**What do you like best about Synthflow?**

I've not used any alternative to synthflow so can' say if its better or worse than other solutions. When it works it's fine.

**What do you dislike about Synthflow?**

Performance of the web client is dreadful The prompt editor isn't fit for purpose and requires the user to edit the prompt offline and quickly paste the prompt in to the editor before it freezes. 

There appear to be updates being made forcing the user to refresh their browser before being able to continue, this can mean that work gets lost. 

Documentation is very poor, particularly around custom actions, videos are OK but don't reflect the current version of software. 

Call logging is random, sometimes transcripts are not captured. Agents won't answer calls if actions are not deployed correctly. Why isn't their logic that tells you there's an issue with an action. E.g using the word 'type' to define a variable in a custom action generates a 500 error.

Synthflow triggers API calls. I now offload all the information in to a python app and hook that in to other systems as debugging synthflow api calls was taking too long.

We've been using Synthflow to build AI voice agents, and the experience has been genuinely impressive. Whether you're developing simple call flows or more complex conversational logic, Synthflow offers a highly intuitive no-code interface that makes it easy to get started even for non-developers.

Troubleshooting complex flows can be tricky. There’s no step-by-step debugger or detailed logs to show exactly where a call breaks down or why something might have failed.

**What problems is Synthflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, Synthflow has been especially valuable in automating First Notice of Loss (FNOL) calls in the insurance space. Previously, we relied on call centre staff to manually guide customers through claim intake, which led to delays, missed data, and inconsistent experiences. Now, Synthflow’s AI agent handles that entire process with a calm, empathetic tone collecting all key claim details accurately and efficiently.

No trial given to perform testing. One has to purchase a minimum of $29 subscription to even test the capabilities which is very strange not client friendly.

no benefit taken yet but following is the use case.
We’re building a healthcare orchestration engine that uses conversational AI as the primary voice of patient engagement. Our platform delivers proactive, personalized, multi-channel outreach (voice, SMS, email, and in-device) across both direct-to-consumer (DTC) and payer-driven care management programs.
We aim to use voice AI for campaigns such as:
Weekly wellness check-ins for elderly and high-risk members
Caregap outreach to schedule flu shots, diabetic eye exams, and annual wellness visits
Post-discharge follow-ups and device onboarding (e.g., medical alert systems)
Each outreach is dynamically triggered based on member events (like missed RPM readings or upcoming due dates) and uses real-time LLM-driven decisioning for follow-ups, retries, and escalations.
We require:
Full-duplex conversational voice AI
Agent-triggered flows based on campaign configurations
Real-time call event webhooks for post-call analytics
HIPAA compliance

**What do you like best about Synthflow?**

Setting up the voice flows was surprisingly fast, it felt intuitive and lightweight compared to other platforms I’ve used. I liked how the visual builder made it easy to map out logic, and the GPT output felt natural right out of the gate. Support was also quick to respond when I ran into bugs during the first test runs, which helped me keep momentum.

**What do you dislike about Synthflow?**

The analytics and call monitoring tools feel half-baked compared to Vapi or Twilio-based setups. There's limited insight into call transcripts and user paths unless you manually track them, and it doesn't handle concurrency at volume as cleanly as I’d hoped. It also lacks a proper debugger for when things break mid-call.

**What problems is Synthflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Synthflow is helping us rapidly prototype and launch AI voice agents without the heavy dev lift of traditional telephony stacks. We’re using it to qualify inbound leads and handle repetitive service calls, which reduces the load on our team and ensures we don’t miss potential business. It’s allowed us to deploy faster and test more ideas with minimal overhead.

**What do you like best about Synthflow?**

Once you figure everything out, it gets easier to use. You can import data into a knowledgebase and write detailled scripts on what the agent is supposed to do.

The tool itslef works very well, once it is set up correctly. The calls with the agent are very good. Although there are not many voices you can choose from in german language, especially from the free ones provided.

The AI is really intuitve and if the knowledge base is set up correctly it will not have any problems, answering a callers quations.

Trust the process.

**What do you dislike about Synthflow?**

If you have no know-how in this field working with KI, everything will be pretty difficult to understand, especially because there is no direct customer support, only if you choose to pay 1.2k for a support group, which is quite frankly really ridiculous in my, especially since new users will have questions about the product and cant wait days for the ticketing system to get back to you.

Being forced to spend 415€ before you can properly test you agent is also a huge minus point on my list. It is incredibly hard to sufficiently test your own agent with 15 minutes for free or also even the 27€ pro package which also only includes 50 minutes. So this is a really big issue. And on top, for those tow packages you cant even add more minutes, even if you are willing to pay for it.

Some important integrations are also missing with no clear instruction on how to go around that issue other than going through API keys. Again a customer support issue.

Synthflow can take calls and collect all important data and ask questions about the issue. In our case thats really important because the agent is supposed to decide within which time frame the issue for the customer can be solved based on the data they provide. If there is an emergency, its also nice that the AI can transfer calls to human operator.

What I like best about Synthflow is the intuitive interface, which makes it easy to design complex conversation flows without the need for advanced technical knowledge. It also offers great flexibility with its integration options, allowing me to seamlessly connect with external services and APIs.

**What do you like best about Synthflow?**

I personally used Synthflow to create a virtual assistant. The process was relatively simple, although so far I'm only testing and haven't used all of its features. While creating this assistant and exploring all its functions, I came up with many more ideas for its use, so I'm sure I'll create other assistants that perform different functions.
This gave me the courage to start creating an agency where I will offer these services in Chile. I'm currently working on finishing this project.

I have not been able to understand why the trial minutes they offer to check how my creation behaves have not been charged.

The ability to connect with Twilio provides essential flexibility for using local phone numbers, creating a powerful, modular stack for automation.

Setting up non-US phone numbers through the Twilio integration can be a hurdle for new users. The process involves extra steps for verification and purchase that aren't immediately obvious. More integrated guidance within Synthflow for acquiring international numbers would be a great improvement.

I appreciate the simplicity of using SynthFlow and its dashboard. I also like how it seamlessly integrates with GHL, which I use extensively for my business. It's important for me to have the flexibility to expand upon the Voice Agent by integrating it with other automation workflows. With Synthflow, I can do that.

**What do you dislike about Synthflow?**

The filtering system, when selecting voices, is buggy. I can still see female voices when I select the male voices filter option and vice versa. It also includes voice with foreign accents when I select English accents. The filtering functionality can be fine-tuned.

Tutorials and Support online are clear and concise. The look of the application dashboard are clear and neat. I specifically like the ease of building Agents and the knowledge base it looks less daunting than the others that I have tried over past few months.

I was not able to log in to the dashboard on my mobile phone - or it was not optimised for the mobile experience.

We are having problems in meeting the SLAs when we receive the calls, and about 60% of our calls are repeated enquiries calls - we are not using our resources effectively.
