"Extensible and Efficient Privileged Access Management"

What do you like best about Sym?

With Syms platform, the world is your oyster. It has been thoughtfully built out in a way that supports Nx10 number of combinations to bolster your access strategy.

A few things that stand out:

1. The solution itself is lightweight within the environment.

2. The flows you can configure are endless, and they already support most integrations you would use today in the modern cloud environment.

3. The team, we regularly engage with the Sym team. They are not only highly technical and knowledgable about the space but act as a multiplier to our team as we vet different capabilities or brainstorm more areas where we can use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sym?

Not necessarily a negative, but Sym requires dev time and should be treated like an internal product. Once things are up and running for your flows, it's light touch, but getting there can take several iterations. Now I wouldn't call this Syms fault but just a nuance of the IAM space as you use it to connect to different services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sym solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sym is the core component of our Privileged Access Management strategy. It has all the functionality needed to support the smallest to enterprise-level teams. We are not only able to take advantage of just-in-time access to sensitive applications and data but also can monitor internal access, approvals, and workflows.

What do you like best about Sym?

Perfect for slack-native organizations, the Python SDK makes it easy to add your custom logic where it needs to be custom, while the boilerplate plumbing is hidden, where you don't need to worry about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sym?

Since Sym makes it easy to glue together lots of different systems (eg Slack, Okta, AWS), when things go wrong, it can be a little difficult to figure out where the problem is. The Sym support team is very helpful with this, though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sym?

Sym allows us to create policies and flows via code without the need to learn a new language or navigate a new UI. Sym has helped us with relatively simple flows and more complicated flows, all with the same interface for developers and an audit trail for security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
