It's not a sexy looking platform. I don't like their colors, orange and green, but that's not seen with my own videos embedded on my site. **What problems is Spotlightr solving and how is that benefiting you?** If you research all the other video platforms, Spotlightr is by far the most cost effective for those who post a lot of videos and get a lot of views daily/weekly. Vimeo plan was costing me $4,500 USD, and a better plan with Spotlightr is only $1,956 USD per year. Each link is individually shared as well so they can't just go on your open page and view content you may not necessarily want them to see like Vimeo does where your entire library is open unless you change privacy settings. ### 4. The Team is fantastic, the software is also feature-rich, and there are a lot of benefits to the platform. I also like that what I'm paying for is on par with the quality. For example, you get great quality and good service, and the price is fair. It is much better than Vimeo, where I feel it's more corporate-oriented or very outdated, and a lot less customization. Wistia is sleek, but you end up paying Lamborghini prices only to get yourself a BMW. Its super pricey when you have a lot of sales videos. With Spotlightr, you can even have hybrid hosting where you can actually host things on Pcloud and use their player. The player is also extremely customizable with CSS, HTML, and many other functions. Quite remarkable actually It's quite amazing and I really do like the overall software. It is top notch in my opinion. **What do you dislike about Spotlightr?** I wish there was a way to kind of link up your hybrid hosting with their player so I did not have to have the two-step process. I also find a few of the menu customizations on the navigation is a little bit tricky but I don't think it's too bad because there's a lot of things you can customize. The other thing is that the subfolders work a little bit weird but once you get used to it it's not too bad. I mean all of these things are just minor nuisances and nothing too crazy or major it's just a personal thing. Still the player is top-notch **What problems is Spotlightr solving and how is that benefiting you?** We typically host a lot of sales videos and classes with Spotlight or so it definitely serves up purpose along with testing out different lead magnets with video. ### 5. It's very enoying. I don't know if anyone will respond to this kind of aggressive upsale strategy? They promoted many features in the AppSumo Deal showing the Reporting features, where you can see the social profile of your viewers. But now it's only available for people who upgrade. Very deceiving to say the least. I think it's still an ok tool, but I don't like the business practices being applied here. Subtitles cannot be used with self-hosted videos, you need to host them with vooPlayer.
