What do you like best about Spirent Communications?

They have a wide range of profiles for testing different products. In a single node function testing profile, they have a different mode of operating the test cases which eases the usability and the different combinations of the real network deployment can be simulated. The ease of deployment of the Spirent tools is amazing. It has great support on different platforms as Linux, AWS, VMWare, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spirent Communications?

The licensing mechanism is a bit complex with Spirent which has led to delays. Cost of each license is different and is on the higher side as compared to other simulators available in the market. The customer support isn't that great with the bugs which have been raised with Spirent team. It takes a couple of months to get the fixes/patch for the issues raised while using Spirent. Recommendations to others considering Spirent Communications:

The product is great except it's expensive. If you're looking into performance testing, this is the tool that you should be looking into. In terms of functional test cases, this is not that flexible and you have to procure other licenses to make it work, which will eventually increase the overall cost.
