Excellent product. We can use it for a variety of traffic generation.

**What do you like best about Spirent Communications?**

Ease of use. Variety of traffic generation starting from 1G data rate and other sub-10G services.

**What do you dislike about Spirent Communications?**

Not many features are there for testing differential delays.

**What problems is Spirent Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Effectively use for pumping traffic for a single interface card.

**Describe the project or task Spirent Communications helped with:**

Best in class simulators to test the product and validate the performance of the system.

Have been using Spirent for 8 years in different organization for functional , endurance and performance testing.

**What do you like best about Spirent Communications?**

They have a wide range of profiles for testing different products. 
In a single node function testing profile, they have a different mode of operating the test cases which eases the useability and the different combinations of the real network deployment can be simulated.

The ease of deployment of the Spirent tools is amazing. It has great support on different platforms as Linux , AWS , VMWare, etc

**What do you dislike about Spirent Communications?**

The licensing mechanism is a bit complex with Spirent which has led to delays. Cost of the each license is different and is on the higher side as compared to other simulators available in the market.

The customer support isnt that great with the bugs which have been raised with Spirent team. It takes a couple of months to get the fixes/patch for the issues raised which using Spirent.

**Recommendations to others considering Spirent Communications:**

The product is great except its expensive. If you looking into performance testing , this is the tool that you should be looking into it.
In terms of functional test cases, this is not that flexible and has to procure other licenses to make it work which shall eventually increase the overall cost.

Customer support is quite slow so dont count on that !!

**What problems is Spirent Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The time to market for our applications has been reduced. 
Compliance with 3GPP standards is excellent the products have been tested with Spirent tools.
