Spendesk Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI
Is Spendesk free, or does it offer a free trial?

No. According to G2 data, Spendesk does not offer a free plan or free trial. Users need to purchase a paid plan to access the product. Visit the seller's official pricing page for current pricing details and plan options.

Who is Spendesk pricing best suited for?

Based on G2 reviewer demographics and Spendesk's pricing structure, Spendesk is best suited for mid-market companies with 51 to 1,000 employees, which represent the largest share of G2 reviewers. Industries such as Computer Software, Information Technology and Services, and Consumer Goods appear frequently among satisfied users. The Essentials plan fits SMBs seeking centralized spend control, while the Scale plan suits growing businesses needing budget oversight, purchase order tracking, and dedicated support. G2 reviewers from small businesses also report strong satisfaction, particularly around virtual cards and receipt management. Spendesk's Premium tier is designed for large enterprises managing multiple entities with complex accounting integration needs.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Spendesk?

Spendesk does not offer a free version. According to G2's pricing data for Spendesk, all access begins at the Essentials plan, which requires contacting the vendor for pricing. This entry tier covers unlimited virtual and physical cards, expense tracking, invoice management, and basic accounting integrations, capped at 100 transactions per month. Spendesk's Scale plan adds spend dashboards, purchase order tracking, HR and travel integrations, budgets, and a dedicated account manager. Spendesk's Premium tier unlocks enterprise accounting integrations, machine learning automation, 500 monthly transactions, and unlimited entity management, catering to large organizations with complex, multi-entity requirements.

Is Spendesk considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers generally regard Spendesk as a premium but worthwhile investment, with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5. Many G2 users highlight significant time savings, streamlined expense workflows, and the virtual card feature as strong justifications for the cost. However, pricing concerns do surface: one G2 reviewer in Financial Services explicitly notes that Spendesk's pricing is expensive relative to competitors like Pleo, and a Media Production reviewer flags the price as high. A reviewer in E-Learning acknowledges it is a bit expensive but considers the price justified by the pain it solves. Spendesk's pricing appears most defensible for mid-market companies with complex spend management needs.

"Effortless Subscription Management with Virtual Card Benefits"
5/5
What do you like best about Spendesk?

I find Spendesk simple to use, which makes managing expenses easier for me. I appreciate the virtual card feature because it connects directly to the company account, saving me from dealing with personal accounts and reimbursement processes. The reminders are really helpful for ensuring I upload receipts on time, which keeps my accounting organized. The initial setup was very easy, as the company created an account for me, and I use Google to login seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spendesk?

As a normal user, it is fine, but I heard: "As a manager, it is not easy to oversee the company's spending". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for the review, Azhir! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

It's great to hear the virtual cards are simplifying subscription management and removing the reimbursement back-and-forth. That's exactly what they're designed for.

On the manager visibility point, that's useful feedback, it's something we're continuously working to improve.

"Finance team review of Spendesk"
4/5
What do you like best about Spendesk?

It automatically nudges approvers to approve invoices and expenses once they’re submitted, and it lets us categorise everything by cost centre. It also auto-records the invoice information, so we don’t have to type it all out ourselves. Instead of us having to chase approvers it, which saves a lot of finance team on the review stage.

I also like how it's very easy to upload my own expenses and it will auto categorise it and send it for review in seconds

We find the pricing very competitive with the market as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spendesk?

The integration with NetSuite was quite clunky and took us a long time to get working during the initial onboarding. However, now that we’ve got it set up properly, the performance and overall experience have improved from the finance team’s perspective, especially when it comes to the integration and moving costs over to NetSuite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Paula Farias of Spendesk

Hi there,

We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. It’s great to know that Spendesk is helping your team simplify approvals, invoices, and expense management while reducing manual work.

We’re also pleased that, despite some challenges during the initial setup, the NetSuite integration is now working well and supporting your Finance team’s day-to-day processes.

Having accounts payable, expenses, and company cards in one place gives both Finance and team leads a clearer view of company spending, so we’re glad this is making a difference for your team.

Thank you again for your honest feedback!

Paula
