## About smino
smino was founded in 2016 by Sandor Balogh and Silvio Beer with the goal of providing the construction industry with a digital tool to tackle current and future challenges. The successful execution of a construction project and customer satisfaction are top priorities. The smino team maintains a close collaboration with clients and partners to collectively lead the construction industry into the future. Since 2022, Christoph Degendorfer has joined the founding team through the integration of bimspot. Currently, employees at 4 locations (Rapperswil, Zurich, Düsseldorf, and Vienna) are dedicated to enabling more than 8,000 companies from the construction industry across the entire DACH region.

**What do you like best about smino?**

The platform can manage plans and revisions for which the folder structure can be individually created to adjust the project. The cooperation protocols can also be created with direct plan or photo references and markings can be done on these to highlight the subject of the issue. It is also suitable for listing and managing construction defects. It is good that every project member can always see the most recent plans and information on one platform, but at the same time, the right to view confidential documents can be varied freely with the access settings. In addition, the support also works very efficiently, I get answers to all my questions on the chat interface within minutes.

**What do you dislike about smino?**

The layout of the interface could be approved: the size of the document view window could be bigger so the plans could be studied in more detail. When writing a protocol it is not possible to give a status to a point (e.g. open, solved).

**What problems is smino solving and how is that benefiting you?**

smino helps to manage and review plans in one place while sharing all information with each project member immediately. In this way, less information gets lost during the construction and design process. The protocol tool helps us to spend less time with document formatting and emailing it among the participants. Markings can be done on the plans directly from which a task can be immediately created and shared with the responsibles.
