We started Octoly when our influencer marketing campaigns were in its infancy. They make it so easy to connect with influencers and creators because they ultimately come to you. The influencers are all part of a niche category (mostly skincare/beauty) so you are able to penetrate that portion of the marketplace. They give great metrics on each creator before accepting one into your program - engagement rate, followers, where the followers are based, "real" followers, reviews from other brands and more. It is easy to save content through the platform, and subsequently see how your reviews from influencers are performing. The lack of control is something that is unfortunate with opt-in platforms like Octoly. Not only are there a limited amount of creators (about 10K), all these influencers have to be using the platform. And all the communication is done through the platform, and many creators are not religiously on it. For us, we worked with some people who were not on the platform making it quite difficult to organize everyone we were working with. Some, the communication was through email, some from Octoly.
