## Sitecore Commerce Reviews
  ### 1. Strong Content-Commerce Integration with Flexible, Scalable Customization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanket K. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

Strong integration between content and commerce. It delivers highly customized shopping solutions for our customers, and the platform’s flexibility is another clear advantage. It’s also highly scalable.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

It’s highly complex and requires a lot of detailed information when applying it to the infrastructure. The upgrade process is time-consuming, and the overall cost of implementation and purchasing is high.

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sitecore Commerce addresses the challenge of having to manage content and commerce separately by unifying them in a single, integrated platform. This makes it easier to deliver personalized shopping experiences that reflect customer behavior, preferences, and past interactions.

  ### 2. Complete E-Commerce Solution in One Powerful Package

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bharath S. | Software Engineering Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

It will come with complete package of e-commerce solutions

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

It is a huge software solution, developers need in-depth knowledge to customise the solution

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It comes with a number of features and modules which inter reduced the dependency with multiple software integration

  ### 3. One of the best CMS platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ganesh W. | Senior Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

It is one of the best CMS platform to engage users and business. Easy to be used by both developers and business. You can easily customise your need on the fly as per your need.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

Installation for devloper can be tricky sometimes other than this everything is awesome.

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps to engage audiences

  ### 4. Great Functionality Requires Great Experience

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

Sitecore is great in the sense that it can be highly customized to suit business needs. Apart from that, the UI and content elements are pretty neat and relatively easy to work with. I particularly like how responsive the platform is and that I can customize it based on demographics and other key data points.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

Product support leaves a lot to be desired. It's always a struggle to describe what's going on and get to the solution. In order to make the most out of this, there's a solid learning curve needed which can result in long implementation times and drive up costs. Over time, this is great, but there's definitely an investment period to cross in order to get there.

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Sitecore Experience to create unique customer experiences. We use this as our content management system and to present data quickly. I have also used this to create an e-commerce shop previously for another customer.

  ### 5. Advanced CMS environment with pros and cons

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

Ability for marketers to not need development experience. Once things are set up, things in theory should run smoothly with any content edits being able to happen with no technical knowledge. Ability to evolve the marketing analytics abilities.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

Difficult to install or upgrade the system. Lots of small things to remember on the development and setup side of things, otherwise something might break. Deployments can be tough to troubleshoot if something minor has an effect on the rest of the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Sitecore Commerce:**

Make sure it meets your business needs and you have a team ready to take on the technical challenges involved

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing marketers to control the content and data easily. Ability to plug in to many different APIs and internal tools.

  ### 6. See commerce in different prospective for User Experience with Sitecore

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay Francess M. | Technical Director / Sitecore Certified Professional

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

Sitecore XC makes things possible in integrating multichannel commerce sites. It delivers great experience espcially to the users because of its Merchandising tool. It is much to maintain as long as you know how to categorize your product with the application and Sitecore can provide support and training for it for better effectiveness of the application towards a certain organization.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

Maybe it's installation steps. It seems like it takes a lot of effort in installing it and may encounter sometimes problems in just by installing it. This is not good for consumers of the app since this will take much of there effort in setting it up.

**Recommendations to others considering Sitecore Commerce:**

If you are looking much greater experience for using an e-commerce application in bigger scale trying using Sitecore Experience commerce. And bunch of community sites that can help you out when you got issues along the way

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Although there problems along he way in setting it up but it is worth it to implement since it gives great experience but needs more improvement in understanding the flow for new starters and maybe making the installation much more easier.

  ### 7. Best in class ecom platform - Requires lots of specialist resource

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew D. | Digital Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

Best in class platform that is highly complex but easy to use, creating and editing content and carrying out full personlisation and analytics in one platform definitely has its advantages.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

The main issue with Sitecore is the specialist development resource it requires and the competition for it - particularly in Manchester UK where I am based. It makes it difficult to find and retain good developers to work on the platform.

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Large ecommerce platform to maintain a large product library and multi language site which is being maintained by a wide range of users in European satellite offices.

  ### 8. Extremely Flexible Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

With majority of the eCommerce platforms I have worked with when developing client or customer solutions over the past 2 decades a large portion of those platforms require an extensive amount of customisation in order to tailor the system to a customers requirements. In addition to that, upgrading the platform to a later versions usually results in a lot of broken code that requires significant refactoring. With Sitecore Commerce the platform has been built with customisation in mind making things considerably easier and having the confidence that upgrading to a later version isn't going to break your spirit or your customers bank account.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

The main downside is that there aren't that many out-of-the-box promotions or out-of-the-box payment providers.

Promotions are where customers usually require the most amount of effort when it comes to their particular requirements although opportunities do exist to port any preexisting promotions across from other solutions.

As for payment providers, it's great that Braintree integration is offered out-of-the-box but more often than not a customer usually requires a different payment provider so it would be great if there were more options out-of-the-box other than just Braintree.

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having experience with Sitecore Commerce and Sitecore Experience Commerce has enabled us to provide unique and impactful experiences for our clients and their customers. This is due to the flexibility of the platform and the features that it provides allowing our clients to engage with and maintain relationships with their customers providing invaluable insight and customer retention

  ### 9. Sitecore - A Learning Experience

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sporting Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

I started using Sitecore for the first time just a few months ago, after having only used homegrown CMS prior to that.Once you've learned the ropes, it reasonably smooth, depending on your company's implementation, but due to the nature of the platform, that varies wildly.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

The system proved difficult to learn for a first time user with a company who had only recently adopted it, so the curve was steep, but not wholly inaccessible. Aside from being a bit difficult to learn the deployment process is difficult, and fails frequently.

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company needed to implement a CMS platform with eCommerce. Sitecore has allowed us to directly connect our PIM and SAP systems.

  ### 10. Experience Designer

Continued options to create a unique customer experience that engages our customers

  ### 11. Early adopter of XC and launched first site in North America

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

Keeping the visitor in one URL and experience. OOTB SXA components. Plug-in architecture. Minions.

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

End user UI is limited, extending it can be costly, production deploys not time-tested, steep learning curve, complex install

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My clients have been able to take brochure sites and turn them into self-service transactions

  ### 12. A Platform to really Build on

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

The sitecore e-commerce platform has the potential to be a really great e-comm tool which will enable businesses to add value and sell effectively online. The Analytics abilities to view the actions taken prior to purchase are fantastic.

The feedback has been that the e-commerce platform could be improved to enable better integration with payment platforms and services.

sitecore commerece has been employed in a client of ours to provide a B2B and B2C experience utilising headless

  ### 13. Sitecore Commerce is too hard and a developer playground

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Sitecore Commerce?**

The sales pitch was great! And the plans were fantastic

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

The long implementation time and costs. Many hidden costs that come down to very limited out-the-box capabilities. We were told 3 months to build. It took 4 attempts to go live, the first was aftr 13 months and we went live after 14 months. 14 months of paying a premium with not much to show for it

**Recommendations to others considering Sitecore Commerce:**

Sitecore Commerce is not a mature product. Be careful not to buy based on the sales pitch. The product is very limited in commerce features and really designed as a developer toolkit. I would not recommend Sitecore for Commerce projects. It may be ok for CMS - I'm not sure. The reference checks we did were ok - but it appears they were setup and told what to tell us. very disappointing and Sitecore Commerce is very risks.

**What problems is Sitecore Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were building an online shop to compliment our retail stores

**What do you dislike about Sitecore Commerce?**

There are a handful of features on their storefront app that could maybe be improved. But it’s nothing we can’t enhance ourselves, with the right knowledge set.
