CERDAAC is a very powerful database. Having prepoulated fields help with easy automation, easy tracking, and easy reporting. If there's something you want to the system to do, it more than likely can. There are very many reports that the database offers, however, it can be difficult, or cumbersome, to customize them to create the exact report you're looking for. I have not really had many downsides. Once we receive training and a better understanding of how SIMCO used the tool it made it pretty easy for me to use. I haven't actually experienced many drawbacks. It became quite simple for me to use when we had training and a greater grasp of how SIMCO used the application.
