Our clinet rep Melanie is brilliant and incredibl attentive, and knows the platform inside out so is always on hand to help us with anything we don't understand. **What do you dislike about Signal AI?** Whilst it is great that it picks up so much coverage, some coverage is missed due to permissions (and you are not alerted at all so you don't know what you've missed) and some untrustworhy news outlets slip through the cracks (such as ones that are purely AI based and regurgitate existing news from other sites). It would be good to have a warning about these. Plus its filters have sufficient options and flexibility e.g., filter by geography, and title, to work out what is and isn't relevant. Easy to look at discreet time periods for mentions and pull content for those periods. It has a pretty impressive reach, so it covers mainstream titles but a huge range of varied media titles and industry specialist titles. Also a lot of non-English language titles too are covered so for a global brand with global reach you are covered with this tool, and don't need to look for local language alternatives. The UI is generally quite intuitive and custoisable. It's also easy to share your search with other team members and keep across a breadth of topics and issues that are relevant. It is quite helpful because they can teach the AI about your business, rivals, or potential customers! Again, less chaff results in the coverage and no complicated Boolean strings! **What do you dislike about Signal AI?** Sometimes with searches with particularly large volumes, the volume of content is a lot to work your way through and the screen doesn't refresh quickly enough to get what you need in a timely fashion. I am unclear whether there is a quick fix here- it can be quite frustrating wating on updated search results when you really need to finish a report. You do need to spend a reasonable amount of time cleaning the data in certain circumstances, and it can take several uses of a particular search to really zero in on your subject and scrub out everything that isn't relevant. Also, while the sharing is great, I'm unclear if there is a way to do private searching or sharing. To better use data to assess who covers a particular subject or rival, it would be AMAZING to be able to dig down into coverage by specific journalists. I've utilised this functionality in a different platform to prioritise outreach based on data rather than simply a bio or your gut feeling. **Recommendations to others considering Signal AI:** It's a really simple, powerful tool for quickly gathering and analysing media noise around a brand or product, filtering what is an isn't important about it **What problems is Signal AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Filtering a vast amount of financial press around a specific topic and brand quickly so that I can create my reports in a timely fashion. Also, has great sharing across teams so many parties can work across projects quickly and efficiently together. There is good reporting functionality which allows you to create dashboards (however, this isn't always super intuative). Ultimately using Signal saves me time, saves the business time and allows access to business intelligence that otherwise we wouldn't have access to. It converts coverage into analytics (dashboards, graphs) in an intuitive way, which helps with reporting. The Signal team is on hand in live chat to help with queries which is incredibly helpful. The company seem to also be good at connecting users from different sectors through networking and insight events, which are great for sharing best practice, talking to peers and understanding what more you could be doing with the platform. **What do you dislike about Signal AI?** It takes a little while to get to understand and use - particularly how to get the best from the AI in searches. But there seems to be a video or tutorial for most needs and fixes. **Recommendations to others considering Signal AI:** Worth making time to get all team members fully trained on the platform via the Signal team to ensure use is made of functionality and the system is used holistically. Also make sure you share key industry/sector titles with Signal, as they are happy to add them to the AI for monitoring if not already on there. **What problems is Signal AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** The analysis and monitoring are better than most platforms I have used previously, meaning business insights are superior. You know you are talking to a "real" person at the other end who can actually help. The content is accurate and live. Really useful for my work. **What do you dislike about Signal AI?** It would be great if signal could create an app, where I could scroll stories, like a BBC News app - so when i am bored etc, i can login and see news in a relaxed manner. Sometimes if it is the same article from multiple sites, you can get bombarded with the same content which is overwhelming. **What problems is Signal AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Signal aggregates the news and this keeps me up to date and keeps me in the loop. Signal allows infinite searches, which is helpful when assessing a variety of key terms. Signal covers a wide number of media outlets, from national newspapers to regioinal radio. **What do you dislike about Signal AI?** Signal charges per seat, meaning putting your whole media team on it can become very expensive. The reach figures that are used are largely meaningless (expect reach figures bigger than the global population). It would be helpful if the stats went back more than 15 months. **What problems is Signal AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Signal allows me to see the coverage my organisation gets in an easy to view manner.
