**What do you like best about Selendroid?**

I like Selendroid because I often test code across both web and Android environments. Its cross-platform support, compatible with Selenium WebDriver, lets me run tests on both Android and web applications seamlessly

**What do you dislike about Selendroid?**

One area I'd like to see improved in Selendroid is its limited support for newer Android versions. When testing on the latest Android version, I found it somewhat challenging to work with

**What problems is Selendroid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Selendroid can handle both native and hybrid apps, which means it works well for apps that combine Android-native features with web elements. This makes it easier to cover all aspects of the app in testing, even if it’s a mix of web and native components

  ### 2. test automation framework which drives off the U

  ### 3. Open source testing framework for Android applications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renu P. | Mobile Application Developer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Selendroid?**

Selendroid has the ability to interact with and support multiple devices simultaneously using emulators as well as hardware devices so that I can easily test my Android apps with various Android smartphones in order to check the compatibility on each device.

One of its distinguish feature is that apps can be tested easily without modifying the app by using the apk file installed on the machine. To get the apk installed on my device, and the testing app should be having the same sign in key to work.

**What do you dislike about Selendroid?**

One of the major problem with this Selendroid framework is that it is not very fast and almost requires a second or two for any operation to be performed. Along with that if your desktop/laptop is having less than 4GB of RAM memory, it might not work on that machine.

**Recommendations to others considering Selendroid:**

Since it is an open source framework, I would recommend it to be used for testing mobile apps.

**What problems is Selendroid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best part about this tool is that I can easily change my hardware devices be it plugged in or unplugged, while performing the app testing without any need to restart or stop the current testing. It has the capability to recognize a new plugged in device automatically.

It can be used for both scaling and parallel testing by integrating it as a node in the Selenium grid. It also offers it as a standalone Selendroid jar similar to Selenium.
