We are able to utilize the API functionality to reduce data entry efforts into 2 separate systems which also increases our data integrity. Ease of entering new resources into the system. The support staff at Schedule it are very responsive, make changes quickly & are open to our suggested changes. In fact, they made a change to a report for us so we could extract the data we needed and then made this change available to all other customers of Schedule it. Some days we notice changes we didn't know about (which are usually great additions) it would be helpful to add a pop up notice of what features were changed, added or deleted. If we have any problems, we find that we can contact them very easily and they will answer any questions we may have. We have also occassionally, suggested ways to improve the software to work well for us and they have been able to adapt and make the changes the suit us. The complexity of the application, its numerous "ramifications", and various ways of reaching the desired effect are also a plus, but they can also lead you astray. Brilliant idea but poorly updated. In the beginning, when ScheduleIt was a strictly web program, such struggles with HTML and SI internal tags could be understood. A very new and negatively surprising thing: in the past, searching for strings was simple - the SI would find any string, if one existed. For some time now, * has to be used to make SI treat the entered search as an arbitrary search string. Then the "starts with" / "contains" options were added. But why??? I originally invested in it to manage glazing installations for 70 operatives spread over around 20 teams, but now use it also for all transport bookings, design and manufacturing planning, timesheet management and much more. I have also successfully integrated it with Salesforce and Fastfield using Zapier which has made it a game-changer. We now have 70 users managing around 500 live projects through this platform. Through different views and filters users can easily see the view that is useful to them. The best thing for me has approach of the developers to suggestions for changes and improvements, and the general support. For most businesses 'one size fits all' solutions are rarely perfect, as was the case with ScheduleIt. I started with a wall board and colored cards: there were hours on the left, teachers at the top, and lessons (colored cards) in the middle. From the very beginning, I missed a simple, easily accessible, but at the same time powerful tool that would allow maximum automation of the planning process. ScheduleIt turned out to be such a tool. I am all happy with the ScheduleIt support! They are very friendly, helpful and react very fast to any issue. Also, they appreciate customer's input as an opportunity to improve their product. I have not met such a good team in my life! :) Seriously. **What do you dislike about Schedule it - Resource Scheduling Software?** I had problems with report formatting, and still am not fully happy with it. On the other hand, SI is a SaaS app and has its limitiations. I also find reminders quite difficult to master: we were trying to find a good way between spamming our people and assuring they are always on time and up-to-date. Our number one reason for wanting to switch was that we wanted the ability for our scheduling platform to integrate with other platforms. We use Zapier to make that possible. Schedule it has allowed us to integrate with Salesforce, BambooHR, Slack, Airtable and others to do some really wonderful things. Perhaps the best part though is Schedule it support. They are the most amazing support I've ever received. In our ambition to integrate Schedule it and Salesforce, we had a number of hurdles to conquer and every time i turned to Schedule it support, they were eager and helpful. They've even made changes to their Zapier integration to satisfy particular needs I faced as I built out our integration. I wish for little refinements like when I change to list view in the Admin area, I want it to stay in list view vs reverting back to showing me cards. I wish I could do bulk operations like Select All resources in Group A and reassign them to Group B. I wished I could have bulk imported all my team members but I had to do that one at a time. Also, though I appreciate the documentation on the site and the ability to converse with support via chat/email, I wish they had a forum so I could talk with and learn from other users. It's easy to move events around and the colour coding makes it simple for us to see the current status or type of event that is scheduled. The ability to create multiple users with different permission levels means the availability of each engineer is visible to all staff. It's easy to manage various resources (engineers, companies, type of event, product, status) and customise the application to our needs. Event tagging is very useful and can trigger custom colour changes automatically based on the tag(s) selected. However, this only takes a few clicks and the feature request is acknowledged already. For us, it would be handy if the mobile version had the ability for the engineers to follow a strict signing off process on-site. For example, signature capture should not be possible without first filling in a 'work completed' summary. GPS tracking and the ability to simply 'clock-in' upon arrival would also be handy.
