We did scan to BIM for many residential and commercial projects of UAE where we estimated the cost of materials already used in a on-hold project and also calculated the future cost to complete the project. Scan to BIM helped us in taking the laser scans of the project and then compiling that data and bringing it to Revit to further create the 3D model which is used for estimation. It provides the accurate Bill of material by importing the laser scanned files (extn.rcp) in the revit and prepared the schedules and model accurately.
