The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system of classification is simply redundant when it comes to keeping a tab on disruptive businesses and technologies. Tracxn does a good job of this because of its large team of analysts that go through each company in detail before making an objective map of their classification. All the financial information I can extract, analyze and make informed decisions on, is only useful when I am able to identify a cluster of similar companies. **What do you dislike about Tracxn Technologies Ltd?** The company is positioned as a self-serve database, but the industry definitely can utilize more services from it if they were provided. They have a good database of companies and you can search by different targets. A lot of companies on there are pretty small so you have to filter out the tiny, 1 person companies with the more interesting companies. The software platform is good overall and the custom reports are helpful as well. **What do you dislike about Tracxn Technologies Ltd?** The industry reports are not clickable which makes them less useful in research and they include name and location of companies, but it would be helpful to include the number of employees because many of the companies are small and have 1 employee. The communication is a bit difficult at times as well because the analysts are in India but overall they do a good job of understanding and completing the projects **Recommendations to others considering Tracxn Technologies Ltd:** I would recommend that an early-stage VC fund use this in addition to angel list and product hunt to find companies.
