Quoter has a distinctive UI that can be difficult to learn at first. While our sales reps work in IT, the deployment and training of Quoter was not as smooth as anticipated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The simplicity of the solution and user interface experience makes it almost intuitive to new users working on quoter for the first time. This means we spend less time on training new sales staff and more time selling! The support and product development is also next level - if there is something that quoter isn't able to do for you, the team will go out of their way to build it into the next release of the product - they are amazing! The only downside I can see is that the spellcheck function doesn't work in the text field box - I have seen this happen with many other web-based applications, however, even this quoter has assured me that the developers are working on a new and improved text box which will address this shortly!

The only other area I think could improve is the post-sales functionality - i.e. creating an internal summary report for each sale which has the customer name on it and lists all the line items sold with the product code, description, qty, cost price, supplier, sell price, internal notes, etc - this could then be passed onto the procurement team who will process the order of the equipment sold. Quoter is an intuitive, easy-to-use tool that makes quote building quick. Client engagement tracking improves follow-up/communication decisions. Easy template creation and updating processes make it easy to continually keep quotes and agreements relevant and save time on future quotes. Quote options and features make it easy for clients to engage and accept quotes. Integrations with other tools are critical to our overall business development process and Quoter works well with our PSA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes the integration with our other tools (PSA) is particular and less intuitive than the platform overall. Requires more troubleshooting (ex integration errors often require support involvement) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are several things we like with Quoter since using it for the last 3+ years

1) Ease of us - it is very easy to use and within minutes we can produce very professional quotes which previously took us 15/20 minutes for every quote

2) Integration with Autotask - we use the integration with our CRM Autotask heavily and this works well. All customers/contacts are pulled from Autotask and if they don't exist they are pushed into Autotask and created as new companies. Quotes sync as opportunities and then when won we convert them into Projects/Tickets for action by our team. This works really well.

3) Support - although we don't have to contact Quoter often, when we do we always receive prompt responses and they are very knowledgeable and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is very difficult to pick out dislikes with Quoter as we have not had any significant issues during our 3 years.

The only dislike I could see at the moment is the ability not to have "Email Templates". Quite often we use the same quote template but send a standard email for various things i.e. customer firewall renewals, server warranty renewals and it would be handy to be able to select a "template" for each of these scenarios. Pulls pricing and images from multiple distributors like Ingram, Tech Data, etc.

Seamless integration with Connectwise Manage.

Pricing is awesome. We cut out costs of Connectwise sell from a couple hundred dollars per month to $200 with Quoter.

Creating quote templates is super easy. The quotes look really professional too.

It does not publish line items to CRMs like Pipedrive or Hubspot. It can only publish revenue figures which is kind of a hassle because we have to rebuild each opportunity when it publishes from Quoter to Pipedrive.

Overall it works really well. I'm not sure any quote tool successfully does this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful part for us has been the ability for our customers to accept and pay for a quote via the PDF or web-link. In the past we used Microsoft Dynamics CRM, which didn't have this function. We had to manually collect credit card info, which not only took extra time and was an extra step in the ordering process for our customers but also was a potential liability for us having to store that info. Honestly, there aren't any major downsides to Quoter. Most of my initial complaints about it have been fixed since we started using it a few years ago. At this point, I think my only complaint would be that when importing items the importer often errors out if I try to import more than 1000 line items. Most of our pricelists are above that threshold, so I end up having to split the import into multiple spreadsheets. It's not a big issue, but just adds a little extra time to our import process. Also, one other complaint would be the lack of a "mass-delete" tool, with the ability to delete all items based on a certain manufacturer or some other searchable field. Right now you can only delete 50 at a time, which when we have 1000+ SKUs from a manufacturer having to delete them 50 at a time adds up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Out of the plethora of positive aspects to Quoter, the best feature is the support reps that back up the software. Anytime I run into a question or issue, I can get in touch with our support rep (Jennifer) and she quickly and effectively sheds light to the preexisting solution or a workaround. The versioning that Quoter uses confuses some of our 3rd party plug-ins. For example, we use different versions in Quoter as different versions of solutions that can fix an issue for our customers. In some cases, customers select multiple solutions from that pool to use simultaneously. When that happens, Autotask and Pipedrive think that the same quote was accepted twice. Fast and easy access. We can quickly log into Quoter.com and review active quotes, create new ones, and revise existing ones with just a few clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Have to log in fairly routinely and can't keep the site open for long periods of time. No auto-save ability when creating a quote, and data is lost if you forget to back and review a quote you started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to quote an entire project, contract or hardware within 60 seconds or less is a huge bonus for us. Using their templating system and custom items we can send out an agreement for a new client within one minute without leaving the platform. Having SSO being a paid add-on/ only available in a higher tier is a very poor business choice. Security should not be a premium offering but something that is built into a platforms core services Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I can produce a quote in less than 5 minutes. It saves the person's contact info so with repeat customers I can just type their name or email and it pops up right away in auto fill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

No downsides to using quoter! I did have an issue where I couldn't update a person's email address to their new or updated one if they were an existing client in quoter but that issue has been resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
