## ScaleGrid Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI

Is ScaleGrid free, or does it offer a free trial?

No. According to G2 data, ScaleGrid does not offer a free plan or free trial. Users need to purchase a paid plan to access the product. Visit the seller's official pricing page for current pricing details and plan options.

Who is ScaleGrid pricing best suited for?

ScaleGrid's pricing is best suited for small businesses and mid-market teams in software, entertainment, gaming, and telecommunications that need managed database hosting without dedicated infrastructure engineers. G2 reviewers from small businesses consistently praise ScaleGrid for eliminating operational overhead at competitive price points, particularly on DigitalOcean and Linode. The Bring Your Own Cloud tier at $20 targets mid-market and enterprise teams already invested in AWS or Azure environments, as confirmed by G2 users in IT services and capital markets. Multi-region, multi-cloud requirements — a use case highlighted by an 8-year G2 reviewer in education management — are where ScaleGrid's pricing delivers outsized value versus standard cloud-native DBaaS options.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of ScaleGrid?

ScaleGrid offers no free tier, but G2's pricing data for ScaleGrid shows a 30-day free trial on Dedicated Cluster plans. The entry-level Shared Clusters tier starts at $10 and covers dev/test and light-production workloads in Docker containers with automatic scaling and free backups, but lacks dedicated servers, VPC support, and 24/7 support. ScaleGrid's higher tiers — Bring Your Own Cloud at $20 and Dedicated Clusters at $35 — add full HA configurations, security groups, MongoDB shard support, OS patching, and round-the-clock support, with the $20 tier uniquely enabling Reserved Instance usage for up to 75% long-term cost savings.

Is ScaleGrid considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers consistently rate ScaleGrid highly for value, with most reviews at 4.0–5.0 stars. Multiple G2 users explicitly cite ScaleGrid's pricing as significantly more competitive than AWS, GCP, and Redis.com — often half to a third of comparable costs. Reviewers highlight eliminated engineering overhead, proactive support, and no egress fees as major value drivers. ScaleGrid's pricing structure on G2 shows all-inclusive plans covering network, disk, and machine costs, which reviewers appreciate for cost predictability. The main value concern from G2 reviews is the absence of shared cluster pricing for early-stage startups, and one reviewer flagged performance degradation beyond certain usage thresholds.

"Effortless Scaling and Unmatched Support"

5/5

What do you like best about ScaleGrid?

This level of support is unmatched by competitors, who often offer slower responses at double the cost. - I also value the flexibility to choose from multiple providers and database ecosystems without incurring egress fees, as this adds major value to our operations. "Reliable, High-Performance Redis & MySQL Hosting at Unbeatable Value"

4.5/5

What do you like best about ScaleGrid?

We've been using ScaleGrid since the early days of our company, and it's been one of the most dependable parts of our infrastructure. Their Redis service stands out as the best option after extensive comparisons with AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, and Redis.com. Not only does ScaleGrid offer superior performance and stability, but their pricing is significantly more competitive—often half or even a third of what other providers would charge for the same load.

One of the biggest advantages is the lack of connection limits and unlimited network, which allows us to scale freely as our usage grows. The Redis instances handle our workloads effortlessly, and we’ve never had to worry about performance bottlenecks or pricing surprises.

We've also used their MySQL hosting for a long time, and it’s been rock solid. It’s the kind of setup you forget about because it just works—unnoticeable downtime, no issues, and excellent reliability.

Customer support has been equally impressive. Whenever we’ve had questions or needed assistance, the ScaleGrid team has been responsive, helpful, and technically competent.

Highly recommend ScaleGrid to any startup or growing team looking for reliable, high-performance, and cost-effective managed database solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ScaleGrid?

Nothing to complain. The only thing they can improve might be that their UI seems less modern, which make me question about their service at the beginning. After using their service, they have my full trus.t Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ScaleGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?

ScaleGrid solves the complexity and high cost of managing Redis and MySQL infrastructure at scale.

For Redis, they provide a highly performant, connection-unlimited service that handles our traffic reliably—something we couldn’t find with AWS, GCP, or Redis.com without paying 2–3x more. That flexibility and value have been critical for us as a growing company.

For MySQL, ScaleGrid gives us peace of mind—we’ve had stable, worry-free operation for years without needing to intervene. It just works.

Overall, ScaleGrid removes the operational burden of database management, so we can focus on building our product instead of firefighting infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
