## ScaleGrid Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Scaling and Unmatched Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about ScaleGrid?**

- I really appreciate ScaleGrid's exceptional ability to scale both vertically and horizontally without the need for a dedicated team of engineers to manage database hosting, which has significantly saved our company both time and money. - The premium customer support provided by ScaleGrid is outstanding; they have proactively notified us of potential issues and promptly addressed them, sometimes even faster than our automated alerts. This level of support is unmatched by competitors, who often offer slower responses at double the cost. - I also value the flexibility to choose from multiple providers and database ecosystems without incurring egress fees, as this adds major value to our operations.

**What do you dislike about ScaleGrid?**

**What problems is ScaleGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScaleGrid enables seamless vertical and horizontal scaling, and its premium support addresses issues swiftly, saving us time and money by eliminating the need for a dedicated engineering team.

  ### 2. Reliable, High-Performance Redis & MySQL Hosting at Unbeatable Value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about ScaleGrid?**

We've been using ScaleGrid since the early days of our company, and it's been one of the most dependable parts of our infrastructure. Their Redis service stands out as the best option after extensive comparisons with AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, and Redis.com. Not only does ScaleGrid offer superior performance and stability, but their pricing is significantly more competitive—often half or even a third of what other providers would charge for the same load.

One of the biggest advantages is the lack of connection limits and unlimited network, which allows us to scale freely as our usage grows. The Redis instances handle our workloads effortlessly, and we’ve never had to worry about performance bottlenecks or pricing surprises.

We've also used their MySQL hosting for a long time, and it’s been rock solid. It’s the kind of setup you forget about because it just works—unnoticeable downtime, no issues, and excellent reliability.

Customer support has been equally impressive. Whenever we’ve had questions or needed assistance, the ScaleGrid team has been responsive, helpful, and technically competent.

Highly recommend ScaleGrid to any startup or growing team looking for reliable, high-performance, and cost-effective managed database solutions.

**What do you dislike about ScaleGrid?**

Nothing to complain. The only thing they can improve might be that their UI seems less modern, which make me question about their service at the beginning. After using their service, they have my full trus.t

**What problems is ScaleGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScaleGrid solves the complexity and high cost of managing Redis and MySQL infrastructure at scale.

For Redis, they provide a highly performant, connection-unlimited service that handles our traffic reliably—something we couldn’t find with AWS, GCP, or Redis.com without paying 2–3x more. That flexibility and value have been critical for us as a growing company.

For MySQL, ScaleGrid gives us peace of mind—we’ve had stable, worry-free operation for years without needing to intervene. It just works.

Overall, ScaleGrid removes the operational burden of database management, so we can focus on building our product instead of firefighting infrastructure.

**What problems is ScaleGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We rely on ScaleGrid hosting for our MongoDB databases on both DigitalOcean and Linode, which helps us manage our ongoing expansion into new countries with strict data privacy requirements. As a very small team, we appreciate that ScaleGrid MongoDB is consistently available and ready to serve our clients.

  ### 5. Best BYOC Mongo Management company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about ScaleGrid?**

We have been with ScaleGrid for a very long time , almost 8 years now and we have been through a lot of databases together. Majority of our databases are in MongoDb . ScaleGrid was our choice based on customer reviews available at that time. I remember having detailed discussions with ScaleGrid Co-Founder Darshan who would just jump on the call with us and would share his expert opinions and always prioritized our feedback. This was very reassuring for us as they have been customer focussed from the beginning. We had a unique set of requirements where the cluster was spread across multi cloud and multi region but it was managed very carefully by the ScaleGrid team and designed well also. This solution is still not available by many of the cloud providers or even SaaS providers to this day. To summarize our experience with ScaleGrid , its simply one of the best managed service providers we have dealt with who take customers so seriously.

**What do you dislike about ScaleGrid?**

I dont see any down side except some lack of features in the console but if you are an API based user then all of the functionalities are ready available via API .

**What problems is ScaleGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScaleGrid solves our DataBAse management operational overhead and its saving us a lot of money in terms of resourcing cost.

  ### 7. Managing our Redis-AppCluster deployed on Amazon Web Service with the help of ScaleGrid is Brilliant

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shreya B. | Cloud Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2022

**What do you like best about ScaleGrid?**

ScaleGrid works on the catchphrase 'Bring your own AWS account', which allows organizations to adapt hosting and managing database applications safely with the existing AWS environment without any tedious connectivity or integration issues in its platform. It provides extensive VPC support to our database systems and supports the usage of our Reserved EC2 instances to its optimal utilization. High availability is achieved by creating an ample amount of replica sets across different regions for protecting our application clusters from failover impacts.

**What do you dislike about ScaleGrid?**

I don't have dislikes after adapting to ScaleGrid DBaaS for our Redis application cluster management. It offers excellent data persistence through custom Snapshots and AOF implementations to handle our data modifications in clusters. Its scalability is impressive as its dynamic in nature and sizes our CPU, Disk space, and Memory of our Redis servers without facing any downtime issues.

**What problems is ScaleGrid solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We leverage the help of ScaleGrid for our Redis-AppCluster resource scaling, deployments, monitoring, and backup provisions in our AWS account. It enables SSL access for our applications and encrypts our data for high compliance & security standards. It provisions full admin access only to the SSH root user so that one primary account has 100% control over all other Redis application clusters. Since it offers dedicated Redis servers, we are able to make the most out of our quota, and ScaleGrid brilliantly manages the underlying infrastructure.
