I started working with SAP pretty recently, around 6m ago when I, as a consultant started on a project for a telco company in the Czech republic. I have been using SAP and communicating with people using SAP almost daily. Here are my thoughts: Ease of Use: SAP Commerce Cloud is powerful but not very intuitive or easy to use at first. The learning curve is steep, especially for new developers or business users. Once configured and customized, day-to-day management is fairly smooth, but it’s definitely not “plug and play.” Implementation is complex and very time-consuming. You need an experienced team to get it right, and going live did require a significant effort. Prebuilt templates help, but (in my experience helping coworkers) customization is almost always required. Support from SAP is in my experience reliable and professional, I contacted support a couple of times during configuration and to understand some best practices. Our company was already in the SAP ecosystem, so integrations (in our case ERP, S/4HANA) are straightforward and smooth.
