RocketDocs is a strong company with a long history of innovation. Their system, formerly PMAPS, has evolved every year. From server-based, to the early online plug-in integrations, to fully web-based, to the responsively designed system you see today. There are undoubtedly other vendors in the space. My advice: conduct your due diligence, review each system, and know how your specific team uses RFP databases today and what they need in the future. Come prepared for a demo or sales call with your current pain points, gaps, and needs. This preparation will help RocketDocs craft a demo that reflects your unique requirements. What problems is RocketDocs solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems are the same for all RFP teams: finding the correct data at the right time, and organizing data into useful Libraries and subtopics. RocketDocs allows us to manage more than 10 different lines of business and keep our data organized and structured. The use of freeform Tags for each record is an excellent advantage for each user to tag items as they see fit for easy locating in the future. As a manager, the Reporting allows me to review the productivity of each team member and review when responses are outdated and in need of SME updates. We can maintain a comprehensive list of SMEs and their direct managers using custom fields without assigning each SME a login.
