I like that the renders from simulations using the Radiance engine are physically accurate in portraying the behaviour of light in a space. That adds a lot of value to the simulations in diverse ways. **What do you dislike about Radiance?** The availability of manuals, tutorials seems somewhat limited or remains within the community so I found it hard to get hold of them and get into the groove in the beginning. But then I was able to figure things out which was fun. **Recommendations to others considering Radiance:** Take your time to learn it. It's totally worth it. **What problems is Radiance solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Radiance to run daylighting simulations using Climate Studio and DIVA on the Rhino Grasshopper Platform. I also use Lightstanza for some of the daylighting simulations which also uses the Radiance simulation engine. ### 3. It's important to be able to get a look at a lot different info at once with this program **What do you dislike about Radiance?** While I like the reports, the learning curve to getting the reports to do what I want them to do has been huge. I wish there were more preloaded reports that could be easily tweaked for my needs. I dread having to train someone on reports. **Recommendations to others considering Radiance:** It works it just takes a lot of implementation time to get it to do what you want. Lean on support and learn about everything they can do for you before deciding your path to implementation. I think it's easier to go bigger right away then to redo and add on. **What problems is Radiance solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our ETL flow has improved, I will say that. After signing on with Radiance, we realized we were much further behind than we thought we were.
