# Which field service platforms are actually reducing manual work and helping teams get more done without adding headcount?

Everyone markets "automation," but I want to know where reviewers actually watched the busywork drop without hiring more people. A few names keep surfacing.

Workiz: Best known among reviewers for automatic status-based texts and a built-in phone system that removes the jump between separate tools. Has the automation actually cut down your manual follow-ups, or just moved them around?

Service Fusion: Reviewers highlight the straight line from work order to SMS update to invoice and payment, plus reusable invoice and estimate presets. Do those presets hold up once your job types get varied?

Zuper: Known for no-code, drag-and-drop workflows and a customer portal that turns service requests into jobs automatically. How much of the back-office data entry did that self-service portal actually remove for you?

Workiz basically replaced our receptionist for follow-ups. The automatic texts go out when a job status changes and customers just... stop calling to ask where the tech is.
