**What do you like best about PyXLL?**

pyXLL helps integrate python libraries in the excel, which in turn helps us avoid opening python GUI and helps fulfill customer needs even if the customer does not have python installed in his system - all that is required are a few .exe files in the same folder and the add ons are ready to deploy, this is particularly useful in analytics projects like demand forecasting, pipeline forecasting and latest estimates post drug launches. the technical advantage is by superseding the python interface and , hence making the over excel file light and easy to use even with non-tech/semi-tech clients who may not be into coding.

**What do you dislike about PyXLL?**

PyXLL can still be optimized further as there were some speed issues though it is definitely faster than relying completely on VBA code in excel file. Another enhancement can be integrating the additional exe files into a single exe file or perhaps integrating it in the code itself - that way when the code is called from VBA then using the cloud the specific exe files could be called instead of relying on On-prem exe files. We can definitely work on the API integrations as well wrt to other softwares and use them to showcase additional advantages that this add on could bring

**Recommendations to others considering PyXLL:**

The PyXLL integration can definitely help in data science projects for clients that are comfortable with excel and might prefer anaconda GUI this can also help you resue some of the archaic models built thus far, also in standard projects this can be really useful when using to train the model on previous data

**What problems is PyXLL solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We deal with forecasting issues mainly, initially all my Winter linear and Holt's Winter linear code was written in VBA code - it took somewhere around 15 min to run each specific forecast cycle but now with PyXLL it takes around ~2/5 min depending on the amount of data I have - if it is a decade of data ( month-wise/week wise ) then definitely the benefits of pyXLL are clearly visible because VBA would actually take forever - the main advantage of this integration was that I was able to keep my archaic VBA and integrate it with pyXLL this way there was minimum disruption even with my clients and were able to create a new product release.
