What is Pulsar Platform, and what problem is it built to solve?

Pulsar Platform is a social intelligence and research platform that uses data analytics to help organizations understand and engage with their audiences. It analyzes social conversations, trends, and consumer behavior to support social listening, audience insights, social measurement, brand tracking, and competitive analysis.

What languages does Pulsar Platform support?

Pulsar Platform supports 103 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese (Simplified), and others.

What company sizes and industries is Pulsar Platform the best fit for?

Pulsar Platform is used across a range of organization sizes and sectors, with reviewer-reported experience clustering in these segments:
  • Company size — Mid-market: A prominent group of users comes from mid-market organizations.
  • Company size — Enterprise: Enterprise teams also feature strongly, using the platform for research, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Company size — Small business: Small businesses use it as well, including teams doing client and audience work.
  • Industry — Marketing, advertising, and public relations: These communications-focused sectors are especially represented.
  • Industry — Research and education: Market research and higher education are also recurring use contexts.
  • Industry — Health and pharmaceuticals: Healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations use it to explore audience and topic conversations.

How long does it take to implement Pulsar Platform across a team?

Implementation experiences range from a same-day start to a few weeks, with reports clustering around under a day and under a month. The reported ranges most often fall into these groups:
Time to go live Relative frequency
Under 1 day Most common
Under 1 month Also common
1–3 months Less common

What customer support options does Pulsar Platform provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Pulsar Platform provides support through options such as chat, email/help desk, and phone. The support experience is often described as responsive and hands-on, particularly for onboarding, training, query setup, and troubleshooting; experiences with resolving issues can vary.

What is the experience like for teams switching to Pulsar Platform from another tool?

Switching to Pulsar Platform is often driven by a need for broader data coverage, deeper insights, improved usability, stronger support, or better value. Teams moving from tools such as Brandwatch, Quid, NetBase, and Meltwater describe gaining richer cross-channel analysis and more flexible reporting, while the initial setup and Boolean-search learning curve can take time; onboarding and account support can help ease that transition.

What features or capabilities could make Pulsar Platform even more useful?

Pulsar Platform could be more useful with smoother search and analysis workflows, especially for teams working with complex queries and reporting. Commonly requested improvements include:
  • More flexible search and filtering: Expand Boolean options and make it easier to refine searches across markets, languages, and sources.
  • Simpler dashboards and reporting: Make dashboards easier to configure, customize, and share with colleagues outside the platform.
  • Broader and more consistent data access: Improve historical data access and reduce source-specific coverage limitations where possible.
  • More dependable AI analysis: Improve the accuracy and usefulness of summaries, sentiment, and theme analysis, especially for niche topics.

How useful do Pulsar Platform users find its AI features in everyday use?

AI features can help Pulsar Platform users get a quick read on conversations and reduce time spent setting up searches, though the results may need checking for accuracy and fit. Day-to-day uses described include:
  • Summaries and narratives: AI-generated themes and summaries help users scan large conversations, explore emerging ideas, and prepare reporting more quickly.
  • Search assistance: Boolean suggestions and query-generation help users build or refine searches, although complex or niche topics may still require manual adjustment.

"Themes and benchmarks in Core: Context and time-saving to stay ahead of trends"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

The Themes function in Trac searches allows us to save time by providing relevant context about what is being said around the topic/brand/product. Similarly, it is quite convenient to generate benchmarks through Core, so we can measure how the entire competitive set is behaving and stay ahead of trends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

The Trends module, while I find it interesting to see the behavior of my topic over a certain period and visualize some indicators that reinforce this conversation, I don't feel it adds much more. I don't think it has a clear and strong differentiator compared to other trend monitoring tools like Google Trends, for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A modern social listening tool that is always improving"
5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

We have been Pulsar customers since 2016, and the best part is that the platform keeps evolving. We use three products, Trac, Core, and Trends, and all of them share the same strength: a clean interface backed by a lot of underlying data. Seat flexibility has also mattered a lot for us: we can add plenty of users, so every team member who needs access to a client's data can have it directly, instead of routing requests through one person.

Core is the tool we rely on most, both for our own channels and for competitive analysis. Linking our owned accounts gives us cleaner, more complete metrics than public data scraping would, and for competitors, having everything pulled into one organized view saves us from juggling multiple platforms.

Integrations are where Pulsar has given us the most unexpected value. Their API is solid enough that we've been able to build custom integrations on top of it, feeding directly into our own internal reporting workflows instead of relying on manual exports. That's turned Pulsar from a tool we check into a data source our team can build around.

On the AI/Intelligence side, we've taken that a step further by connecting Pulsar's API into some of our internal AI tools, so parts of our team can access profile, post, and follower data without pulling reports by hand. It's not a native Pulsar feature, but it says a lot about how usable and well structured their data layer is that we could build it.

Trac feels similar to Core in day to day use, same clean, uncluttered interface, which makes switching between the two tools frictionless for the team.

Performance has been consistently strong: the data comes back fast and already organized, so it's ready to use without extra cleanup on our end.

On pricing, it's the most competitive we've found in the market for the level of data and functionality we get.

Support has also stood out: they combine AI assisted responses with human agents, so simple questions get resolved quickly while anything more complex still gets a real person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

There are a few things someone could dislike about Pulsar, although most of those issues aren’t really their fault. With all the privacy actions being taken by social platforms, certain data has been limited. Aside from that, we haven’t had any real issues that have made me dislike the tool. "The platforms for mentions tracking and identify themes and patterns"
4/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

I love having everything in one place, from social mentions to tracking mentions across a specific topic, a brand category, or even individual brand mentions. I also like the flexibility the dashboards provide: I can track mentions within a specific search and monitor SOV between brands. The platform’s UI/UX definitely has a learning curve, but once you get familiar with it and use it consistently, it becomes pretty straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

The first thing is that it’s not as easy to learn as some other platforms, but once you get used to it, you’ll really nail it. That said, I do wish the integration with the Instagram API were easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tracking by Boolean and Core: deep conversations with a multichannel vision"
4/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

What I like the most is the tracking tool by Boolean and core in influence. In the first one, what I highlight the most is that I can find deep conversations on a topic, not only on X but also on other sources like Tiktok, Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram, providing me with a more complete overview.

In the case of core, I love it! I've used it to track influencers... as well as the competition, but when I used it for influence, it really had much more value! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

The limits in conversation :(

Having to stop some tracking like in massive events such as the World Cup or politics in Colombia... we had to halt some KPIs, we couldn't track them and had to remove that topic from the client's strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI Saga Delivers Super-Informed Listening Roundups"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

I like the AI Saga tool best as it gives a super informed listening round up Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

I dislike some of the platform/boolean restrictions where a listening dashboard can often disregard some important social posts as they've not pulled through due to platform restrictions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Complete, Intuitive Tool with Powerful Multi-Source Insights and Client-Ready Reports"
5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

The tool is very complete, intuitive and helpful. I benefit a lot from having all insights from multiple sources in one place, and it's valuable to be shared with clients with the report capability. The different tools are great for different clients, categories and needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

The boolean search can be a little tricky to use sometimes, even with the guide it's hard to identify where the mistakes are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Precise Boolean Filtering with Impressively Broad Source Coverage"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

The query builder is what I lean on most - boolean search and filtering

by platform, language and region let me scope a topic tightly so the

data stays clean instead of noisy, with source coverage well beyond the

obvious networks. The other standout is the support: onboarding was

hands-on, and when I bring my account manager specific or product development requests, they actually solve them rather than deflecting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

The main downside is the learning curve. The query builder is powerful,

but getting good results takes real investment in the boolean logic and

the platform's quirks, and a lot of it ends up self-taught. What takes the edge off is the support: when I needed some specific Reddit queries

set up, I worked through it with my account manager and he came back

with a working solution within 24 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great summarization, but TRAC filters and AI sentiment accuracy need work"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

I like the themes summarization and the snapshot tabs to pull numbers and themes quickly and easily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

Its interface isn't conducive for data analysts. For example, the date range and Filter button both immediately start the search. If I wanted to modify both, I have to let one run before adjusting the other. I should be able to do both before the search applies (on TRAC). A lot of the AI summation also aren't correct. If I filter to Negative only, I often get Neutral and Positive still leaking through. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick access to trends without the messy data"
5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

I really like the flexibility Pulsar offers in getting access to new data and information, making it much easier to follow and identify emerging trends to help my team get a clear picture of what people are interested in and talking about in real time.

It’s super useful for our client work around major events like the World Cup, where we can quickly track conversations, monitor volume growth over time on specific keywords or topics, and even track teams and celebrities based on the latest games. We're able to pull together interesting insights quickly for our reports without getting bogged down in messy data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

There’s definitely a bit of a learning curve when setting up new queries. If you aren’t used to building complex Boolean logic or navigating different platform views, it takes some trial and error upfront to cut through the noise and get to what you actually need. Setting up a new topic or event can feel a little tedious at first, but the Pulsar support team is super helpful and always ready to jump in to assist with setup, which really helps alleviate the heavy lifting. "Powerful Data Gathering and Helpful Charts for Analysis"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

I like that it lets me collect a lot of data and then presents it in very helpful charts for analysis. It also supports Indonesian, which is important for most of the work I do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

The analysis of Indonesian keywords in bios is still far from my expectations. It continues to categorise Indonesian prepositions as topics, which makes the results less accurate and less useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
