"Protonmail: You can't see me!"
What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

What I like most is obviously the end-to-end encryption and the ability to set sensitive emails to expire. It is simple to use and I use it all the time. There is no implementation, just log in or use the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

I really don't dislike anything with Protonmail, it does what I want and need. Maybe they could improve the UI, but that's about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"🔒Solid encrypted Email solution"
What do you like best about Proton Mail For Business?

I’ve been using Proton Mail for years to prioritize privacy and security for both personal and business communications.

As someone working in the tech sector, the encryption-first approach caught my attention.

What I like about Proton Mail:

✅ The end-to-end encryption architecture stands out as the core strength. The OpenPGP implementation ensures that communications between Proton users remain completely private, while the zero-access encryption protects emails from non-Proton senders once they reach Proton servers.

✅ The Swiss jurisdiction and legal framework provides genuine data protection benefits. Operating under Swiss privacy laws means the service faces significantly stricter requirements for data disclosure compared to US-based providers. This jurisdictional advantage translates into practical privacy protections that matter for sensitive communications.

✅ Cross-platform consistency works well across web, desktop, and mobile applications. The interface maintains functionality whether I’m accessing emails through the browser or mobile apps, with syncing that handles encrypted data seamlessly. The desktop integration through Proton Bridge enables IMAP/SMTP access for third-party email clients like Thunderbird and Outlook.

✅ The self-destructing message feature provides granular control over email lifecycles. Setting expiration dates and password protection for sensitive communications adds an extra security layer that proves valuable for confidential business correspondence. Recipients receive notifications about expiring messages, which helps manage information flow.

✅ PhishGuard and link verification actively prevent security incidents. The system identifies suspicious emails and provides warnings before accessing potentially malicious links. This proactive approach reduces the risk of falling victim to phishing attempts, which is particularly important given the increased targeting of secure email users.

✅ The Easy Switch migration tool simplified the transition from Gmail. The IMAP-based import process transferred emails, contacts, and calendar data efficiently, though the process took time due to the large volume of historical emails. The migration maintained folder structures and preserved email threading.

✅ SMTP Submission capabilities enhance business integration possibilities. Organizations can route automated emails through Proton servers while maintaining zero-access encryption, which proves useful for CRM integrations and automated system notifications. The high sender reputation of Proton servers improves deliverability rates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proton Mail For Business?

The free plan restrictions severely limit practical usability. The 500MB storage allocation fills quickly with modern email usage patterns, especially when receiving attachments. The daily sending limits and lack of features like custom domains or aliases make the free tier more of a trial than a genuine free offering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
