First, they have a truly generous limit, a sweet spot for those who want to establish a new solution. To continue, they just released their new page builder which is quite fast. Moreover, I'd say the most powerful thing Prismic has is - a slice machine, which unlocks many things for marketing teams. Keep it up Prismic! The last thing I'd like to mention is their support team. Whenever I have any issues of questions - Prismic replies fast and it's usually the same day when my issue is resolved. **What do you dislike about Prismic?** I wouldn't say I like that there are no limits of symbols for some fields which would increase productivity and decrease human mistakes. This would be a nice feature for authors and SEO specialists. A suggestion - just include symbols count for fields that you can toggle on and off, easy and would solve a problem. Moreover, there's no search in the new media library, part of the new page builder experience. I found it very weird - but I hope the Prismic team will include it in future releases. Also, there's no easy way how to create an image gallery - though it may be possible with slice machine, this thing could be simplified and offered as one of the data types. **What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a great solution and a great competitor to all site builders (of course if u have a developer). A step away from annoying WordPress which allows you to break all the limits and work as you want. Since migrating to Prismic, my website runs faster and is easier to update according to my needs. **What do you dislike about Prismic?** Some formatting must-haves, such as sub bullets, are missing (your developer must build them in separately). But something I think is important is for Primsic to super charge the media screen. Enable heirarchy in media managament using folders or groups. For content creators that manage enormous amount of images for their website, it would be a pain using the current system, I don't have that much content. I looked for a really simple solution and came across Prismic. It was very easy to setup with Nextjs and the tutorial on the Youtube channel helped me get going pretty fast. It worked really great, so I even continued to implement other parts of the homepage like the team line up for example in Prismic and fetched the information from there. This will make it really easy in the future for other people to update the information on the website. **What do you dislike about Prismic?** I saw myself often going back to the legacy editor, the new one seems to lack a lot of features or displays information in the wrong way. For example when I wanted to write longer texts in the Rich Text field, the text box was no expanding or even allow me to scoll. I would have expected a bit more traditional UI like you know from Contentful or Wordpres (which the leagcy editor has) **What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Manage content without updating the code, so also none developers can make changes. Their approach to flexible page building via "slices" was brilliant and for a very long period a key differentiator. Less so now that a lot of other CMS offer similar flexibility. **What do you dislike about Prismic?** We have a complex websitewith advanced needs. The limitations of Prismic API made the job of our engineers complicated and forced us to do a lot of workarounds. Some basic elements such as field validation, the ability to add inline instructions for content-writers, or the ability to search for an article by its title (the search function is completely broken since years). The last straw was how Prismic manage their loyal customers, announcing a 20x increase in traffic with a very short notice (less than a month at first, extended to 2.5 month after some negotiation). **What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prismic is powering our content website, with tens of thousands of different pages across 10 languages. ### 22. Nuxt 3 needs some SERIOUS updating, and the slice template library is laughable for a company your size and skill. **What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Needed to build sites that can handle integration with 3rd party companies and scale up to handle A LOT of API calls and users being authenticated and sent to another web portal. The API is performant and the writing room is a pleasant experience for content writers. Integration is pretty painless and it is still my go-to CMS. Media assets served from a CDN is great feature, and generally, customer support is reasonably responsive via in-app chat. **What do you dislike about Prismic?** Prismic have effectively abanonded users that don't write everything in Javascript. All of the new and interesting features are effectively not available without using specific JS based frontend/backend technologies and the focus on JS increases to the point where other technologies are no longer even mentioned in documentation. Scheduling tiles took a signigicant amount of extra time to complete. I'd reccomend sticking with the legacy editior going forward **What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prismic works great for us (Penn Interactive) for scheduling casino promo tiles for Penn Play Casino. Having a reliable content management system that is easy to use and free of techical bugs is huge. As the primary admin for Penn Play Casino, for the last year I can honestly say I've never experienced a significant techical issue or had to contact support, for me that's what we're looking for for a CMS provider. ### 29. It takes the best parts of those plugins and brings them to the modern era of web dev. The slice machine setup they have working now is a dream to work with. Prismic is extremely simple to use, implement, and is very powerful. I can essentially create my own page builder with components i've designed, allowing my clients to create any number of pages without my intervention. They offer a very generous free plan, and their customer support is extremely helpful. A number of my questions have been answered on their community forums. **What do you dislike about Prismic?** The one thing that can be improved is their documentation. There needs to be more fleshed out examples, and more individual sections dedicated to certain portions of the developer experience. Sometimes I'll be looking for something, and the solution will be on this massively long page meant to cover 10 different topics. **What problems is Prismic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prismic lets me use modern tools and APIs to build my own page builder. I no longer have to work with Wordpress + Advanced Custom Fields to acheive that. Prismic comes with it's own SDK which works really well with implementing the stack of your choice (I use Nuxt). I have used it for over 20 websites of all shapes and sizes, including websites with multi languages and it never misses a beat. Clients also frequently comment on how easy it is to use. Customer support from the community is very good for anyone starting out, as they have a vibrant community support forums. I'm always facing errors when creating blog articles. The spacing between the lines rarely appears correctly no matter what I do.
